And did we honestly look prepared for it? They’ve come off two hidings, and massacred us last night.
That bald, broken nosed deadshit needs to wear shoes that send a jolt of electricity every time he runs off his wing in defence.

The score line wasn’t a true indication of the game. The stats are tellIng, especially the line breaks. We’re a one dimensional team that bases our game on bash and barge. Our halves get criticized weekly, but they’re only carrying out the game plans. We have no flamboyance about us. Way too structured in attack and a loose cannon in defense. The better teams will work us out and have our measure. There’s no early ball movement, bodies in motion, decoys, nice backline shifts. Set after set yesterday was one out. Even the offloads have dried up. These tactics will only get you so far.
Watched the game at a mates house, one of them said your side looks so poorly coached it’s not funny. I only had to nod and agree, if randoms who barely watch us play can see it why can’t the people in charge of the club see it???

But but but stability!!!!

...and when we do try and ‘play footy’ we are too lateral at times. I like it when we play direct.

Set after set was one out yesterday. Maybe we aren’t quick enough to go wide. Maybe we should look at the st George fullback that’s on the outer. Is it dufty? Move gutho from full back to 5/6 and put drown in the centres. But we need some speed

It’s easy to be critical after the last 2 games, 2 reasonably stand out issues.

Watching the other games , how much more fluent in attack do the good sides look, and they play direct similar but then attack quicker and then spread as if they have a plan.

Defence has some major structural problems, far too compressed in our own half and seemingly unable to number up against opponents attacks and our hit and stick seems clumsy. Middle defence is good as we don’t leak points there.

The Head Coach deserves support for getting us through some awful times and building spirit and recruiting well. Look at the good coaches, and how they are always adding/changing their assistants, we have had the same guys there and same results, if that isn’t acknowledged and changed , then that’s back on the HC and HOF.

Why doesn’t our outside backs and winger hit the line at speed when attacking their opponents tryline. This is used to great effect by the likes of Melbourne, Roosters and souths. We seem to step/dance to find the lucky opening. This works on shite teams but not on good defensive teams. It’s very hard to defend pace less than 10 out from your tryline.

When The Bern appointed our HOF it was made extremely clear that anything to do with The Team and Coaching were out of bounds to him. Thats BAs domain and if the same rings true its only he who can hire and fire.

The the score line flattered us as well, 11 to nil in line breaks???

Lucky they didn’t out 60 on us.

I know we’ve been winning but we seriously are one dimensional. No structure in attack at all. Hit up after hit up. Defense struggles out wide. Seems as thou we lose two players and we’re a bottom 8 team. Roosters lose half there team and still perform. Our structure is fried

I'm fine if/when we lose. However I'm not fine when we get drilled and made to look inept, clueless and can't adapt mid game to stop the rot.
The 3 games we have lost this year have been by quite some margin. When Melb lose they are in the game til the 80th minute. They compete for everything. Penrith is the same. Also yet to lose.
Roosters have lost some games by some margin too but they have had half their starting team out.
In the manly and saints games the weak mentality came to the fore again. Rushed attack, lack of patience and the bigger problem - clear lack of leadership..

I get that we had to swap centers to do something about our right edge defense, but if Blake wasn't so shit we would not have to change things arounds just to cater for him.

Niokore going back to right centre would fix the problem with less disruption.

If we have to make major changes just to cater for Blake maybe we'd be better to omit him. Fergo went so much better with Niokore on the right as well.

The only thing that might save Blake's arse next week is the fact that Dylbags will be available.
