Funny that, don't defend like spuds and your chances to win increase.
Don't have a doorstop 5/8th that's good for a good 5 or so errors a game and your chances to win also increase. We actually had 2 non-embarrassing blokes in the spine today, and it made a huge difference. Imagine having 4 non-potatoes.

What is this feeling Im experiencing? What's the opposite of abject embarrassment?

I don't think we could have done better than Watson at 6.
He gelled well and the extra fwd made an impact up the middle with rotation. Even King did his bit.

Likely without DSaf, Klemmer and Frizell next week, I suspect the club is probably on the phone to the Broncs right now trying to get the Lodge deal done before Tuesday

Really gutsy win and defence was much improved but the attack needs a major overhaul
It does, but this is also where you think a Pearce, Ponga and now Clifford could make a HUGE impact.

We like to get down in the dumps when they offer shit, now is a good time to enjoy today's achievements and be optimistic that each week that goes by we should be getting closer to being the team we should be by virtue of returning/new players.

Seibs cops a lot of shit, but 2 weeks in charge of the defence and the turn around has been very noticable. It was more than just technique today though, there was also intent.

Anyone know what the story is with Mann anyway? Is it injury thats being reported? Maybe he gets one of those indefinite Edrick injuries...

We did get the rub of the green (with some exceptions) with the refs today, but a lot of it was deserved too. Des is kidding himself if he thinks that was the difference, though. Manly were doing typical Manly grub stuff, and got pinged for it. They got dominated in the middle, that's where they really lost the match.
