I suppose Peachey is our new Mbye, one of the career utilities in the game. I thought we needed one tbh.

If the reports are true, we are paying a bit less than 20% overs for his services. Such is life.

Coming in at 6 foot and 14 stone, he’d be a handy depth player. 30. By comparison, Mbye is close to the same figures height and weight.

Peachy used to have a good turn of speed, good switcher and a fair step and pass in him.

Quite possibly a start at Hooker and if he does well, give him the gig.

He’s a bit of a ball player if I remember and has elite and high level experience.
Hooker? What do we do with the 2 we have?

So this isn’t the forward you were hinting at?

I'm not saying peachy is shit signing, I'm saying, that we celebrate not signing Woods says alot about where we are at as a club.. Peachy is a decent signing, Will be interesting to see who plays where in the halves and how we run our attack.

And what clubs he from? 😂

Yeah it’s all go, he’s signed as will be another.

The public announcement dates are all managed by officials, so I don’t really want to mess with their plans. A sponsor might be coming up for it or something.

But that’s a half to a third fresh faces, play-away deals, except maybe Gildart.

Millard goneski so I hope the club is deploying my Ciraldo plans.

Then we have a Sheens, Madge and Ciraldo triumvirate in the senior coaching ranks and that would be a pretty competitive player command outfit.

Otherwise, we need a recent former nrl coach back into the mix, maybe @stryker’s beloved Tooves.

@macnaz and I have also talked about stepping up the mental preparation in various ways.

Theres been instances of weightlifters, mind over matter, tearing up their flesh until bones stick out because their minds simply overcome their bodies abilities.

I’d love to have that mental attitude instilled in our troops instead of a seance or palm reading or whatever we were doing last season.

Assistant coach rumours are Shane Flanagan and Ryan Carr. Don’t know much about Carr so looked him up. Was coached by Madge at the Rabbits then became their NYC coach under him. Bit of a red flag there as I dont want Madge to just surround himself with his men like it felt with Millard/Collins, however he’s had some success with the lower grades. Then went and coached Featherstone in the 2nd division English comp and got them to 2nd. Is only 33 which I like.

If these come through I’d imagine Flanagan = defence, Carr = attack. Flanagan made the Sharks into a tough gritty side and Carrs an ex halfback so that’d make sense.

We need Professional sports psychologists and allied practitioners to make sure our players have a go.

That’s been one of your biggest concerns.

We can cop incompetence, but not laziness.

Didn’t we have one of those “no markers events” this season.

A sports psychologist seems crucial to me. After a couple of years of going backwards the players (and fans) need help to get them out of a slump and to feel that change is possible.

Perfect Idea Ned, you’re a bloody genius.

As part a brand new “elite golden platinum executive membership package”, such gilt edged members would be able to log in to a shrink after the last game to help them recover more quickly from the thrashing.

The standard recovery period for a fan and member after a belting is 3 days ( for me anyway). Such as measure may reduce the period of inner turmoil and hatred of the club to a much more reasonable 1 or 2 days.

As you know, 90% of our forum fellowship went mia for about a week after the storm disaster, almost matched by the last round v dogs.

Some of best and brightest here haven’t made it back since the dogs debacle.

But given the state of our membership department, you’d probably log in expecting shrink online and all you’d get is footage of our mascot chugging beers after the match on his own.

one for @blue bags

Peachy isnt a shite signing. Could have been a lot worse.
Agree 100% - and looking at how the season finished with a centre pairing of Talau & Chee-Kam, you'd have to say that Peachy starts the year in the centres. He is an experienced 1st grade NRL player - only Roberts at the club can be called that.

I take a lot of my inspiration from you Silverdale.

I was thinking along the lines of every Monday fans could head out to the Center of Mediocrity for a group therapy session. It would have to be outdoors on the oval though because we couldn't all fit inside.

By the way I am starting to doubt that there will be enough recovery time from here to next season for me.

The ongoing thread you started about us possibly signing someone who might not be at the end of his career really helped.

Surely the club already employs one?
Seems incompetent for a professional sporting organisation not to take care of this area of player development.

I saw this also.

Flanagan is not a good option in my opinion. He's outwardly stated he wants a head coaching job. He's not going to be too motivated to see the WT do well while he occupies an assistant role. That alone would be a huge distraction for Madge.

Also Flanagan's communication around tactics is pretty poor based on what we have seen of him from on Fox Sports this year.

Wayne Lambkin has strong relations with plenty of young players and I would like to see him take one of the assistant roles. He's been head coach at Westfield Sports for years (in addition to running JF for WT which he does part time)

Would have coached a tonne of NRL players over the years, going back as far as David Klemmer as an example

Still very positive that both assistants have been moved on.
