Peachey was an exciting player years ago. I don't know if it is age but he has been on a steady decline for a while. I didn't know why we signed him but I guess it came down to our standard strategy. A player moves beyond his prime, his club says they don't want him, no other clubs show a serious interest, we sign him and announce him like a marquee player and make statements like "It shows what a quality club we are to be able to attract such a player."

No one was watching Peachy before he got here. Stryker was the only one I remember saying he was ordinary last year (or year before) . Madge and Pascoe should have known.I thought he was a great buy but I hadnt watched him for at least a year or 2 ..He was a star before he went up north and got old and lazy.

Wests Tigers recruitment:
- Who is the biggest names available? Let's throw cash at them regardless of their form or whether that position is needed.

Tigers will keep cycling between coaches unless they address their key issue, which is their recruitment strategy.

Peachey will go down as just about our worst ever signing. Must have spent more time in the sinbin than he did on the field. Even more bewildering they made him a captain.
Appointing the useless prick as part of leadership group was one of many horrendous judgement calls by the pathetic Maguire. Why the fk Maguire did not get sacked last season underscores how mentally challenged the entire board is.

It wasn't Maguire's decision. It was the playing group who voted for him. It was f**ken dumb though. He is an undisciplined and definitely not a leader.

We were still player Twal as lock 2 years after everyone else had moved to a ball playing lock so we finally thought we should move on and got Peachey to fill that role, even though we were saying Hastings would play it to hide the fact he was signed to replace Brooks.

The only problem is Peachey has been shit and Joffa has been surprisingly good in the role so he has become a waste of space.

I was ok with getting the Peach.....but is he really getting 750k from us? That much??? If that has truth to it, people who approved that should be shown the door.

You know how when you walk into a major corporation's reception area . . . they have some fancy bullshit wokey words as their mission statement . . . the bolded bit from Frailty should be printed above the entrance to the new COE.
That, whether we know it yet or not, is the crux of our problems.
Let me know please when the sacking of Madge actually changes our on field efforts.

We certainly have had a share of god awful signings, Braith, Blair,Peachey etc the list goes on, then when you double down on the players that have left ,Tedesco ,Paps ,JAC etc we really are a basket case.

Melbourne were going to show Paps the door until he was the only choice they had and shocked everyone with how good he was. Harsh to say we f**ked up letting him go.
What happened to Cayless and co not being Madge's yes men and turning us around...

It really does appear that the recruitment and retention department is clueless at one, identifying talent and secondly ,knowing whether established footballers on the open market actually have any decent football left in them .

To be fair, the ones with talent and ability, probably don't want to come here?

We need to get a few by paying overs to come here, I just don't see any other way at this time?
