Sure but they where already signed up ( Luai and Nathan) And had been in 2 x GFs and won one.
If Parra thought JA was going to be special they'd let one of Brown/Moses walk. Most liked Moses as JA would compliment Brown better.

That's just my opinion. It hold little wieght
Makes absolutely no sense, panthers ok eels not ok……

Slightly confused. Penrith lost their young halves in Burton and some other guy cause they had talent and other clubs chased then.
I'd assume if JA was highly rated other clubs would be sniffing around for 2023. Especially if we re-sign Moses and Brown. They all would of seen him come through the grades.

First who cares about SOS or what Jake what will be like at 25 we are talking about now, he’s light years away from first grade standard his body isn’t physically ready for first grade.

He’s 19 and I’m not willing to right him off yet but he has absolutely no business being near first grade atm just like he’s got. I business being the only back up half in the squad. If his last name was Smith he’d be struggling to crack reserve grade.
What if Brian Smith was the coach?

Yeah i will be there on the asbestos hill. Spending the weekend in Manly with a mate who lives there now.

So hopefully we win.

It's International Beer day tomorrow so what a way to celebrate then beating Manly at Brookie.

Get well soon from Covid as well.
I was going to quit beer tomorrow and begin the journey to a healthy and productive life but I think this is a sign. Oh well, what can you do.

Clubs were sniffing around and asked the eels for JA recently- source David Riccio……they asked for him this year

so did the Panthers not rate Burton? They let him go and didn’t let one of their starting halves leave after they choked in a GF?

so now if the junior half leaves they are rated , thought you said if the nrl halves were let go the junior was rated…..talk about changing, throw enough darts you get it right!

Anyhow you are the one making the stupid assumption an 19 year old half isn’t rated by their club as they are unwilling to let their starting halves leave for him….what a f**ken stupid assumption!! Illogical!!

He's just a backup 7 and will play his role to make his tackles and spread the ball. Might do the odd bomb and play a bit of dummy half.

What do you seriously expect of a 19yo backup half ?

to at least be of nrl standard. Or am I asking too much?

If the club rated him highly long term they would be that worried about losing Moses or Brown.
I think he is rated as a potential handy back up and nothing more.

Or with our club, we could tell one of our halves to get f^*ked and promote ja.

Luai didn't make his NRL debut until age 21 and wasn't a regular starter until he was 23. Cleary debuted at 18 and was a regular starter at 19. The point is NRL players develop at different rates.

So how come no club signed Luai before he was playing regular first grade?
