Guessing mbye is halves FB cover now

Junior out most likely

Sullivan injuries needs cover

Cook, finau, Muhleisen and Liddle battling for no9

Would it be possible that we used croft as an example that there is no player available equivalent to Junior

So we will put mbye to the halves and cook is added as a no9 and we argue to the nrl that we want a player of similar impact? Not necessarily same possibilities as none available

We played all last year with the slowest hooker in the game. Now we have four good players competing for the position (plus Sullivan and Hunt). Curious strategy.

Curious all the criticism re giving Cook a train & trial contract.

Nobody wants Mybe playing hooker it's his worst position.

Anybody in the right mind wants Sullivan in the halves and as far away from hooker as possible.

With Amone likely to be missing our halves are now paper thin so Hunt to hooker is well and truly an unlikely scenario and Mybe as cover is logical.

We need to have 4 dedicated hookers at a bare minimum and we have invested in youth in 2 of those positions so we don't need a roadblock getting in their way.

Wake up people you cant have everything you want and be happy that 2 of the next man up for hooker are promising youth.

But yet again people just want to be super critical without working through the options.

If we don't use Cook or the like and Sullivan gets injured playing 9 off the bench and we end up with Mybe in the 9 will you then be happy?

If he stays injury free he will be in our top 4 in the Dally M's.

He has plenty of upside if he stays on the paddock and his speed out of dummy half will ensure that we have better options than just giving it to Ben Hunt when it comes to attack and we will see that 5/8's actually do have a role to play.

A real pity that Amone had a brain snap as he could have come into his own this season.

Cool crystal ball you've got there.

I reckon, based on his six previous seasons with the Tigers that he'll be a Mitch Rein-esque handbrake and he'll be leapfrogged by Finau or Muhleison at mid-season

This Year?

Just imagine being in recruitment and trying to sell our club to a Joseph Sualli type player, walking around the club with his manager and hearing them talking about the rape trial, BBQgate, the xmas party turnout, hammertime, the pedo character reference, then reading any number of comments from fans in any given news article about the club and then seeing a leadership group of Woodsy, Mmbop, KFC and Clutchman at training while hearing a monotoned drawl barking orders about high% play in the opposition 10 and something non specific about defence.

The dream sells itself doesn't it?

No use in dreaming. The reality is that we have really got to get our club to be seen in a more positive light and to ensure that we can perform on the field in such a way that we can hold our own and win games and off the field just behave and do the right thing. Is that too much to ask? Will we be able to then attract better players? I hope so.

Fair enough.

Cheer up folks. I reckon it's not a bad squad. The change at hooker will be a major positive IMO. Just need to strengthen the forwards somewhat - but apparently we have some spare cash. Hopefully new assistant coaches will have a positive impact. We have a lot of talent in development. Let's all take a deep breath.
