You never get true AFL ratings though, Different cities have different games.

Fox would know who is watching what though, Just keep it secret

Whats even more fun when you get down to it is the 3 matches a week that Fox carries that are produced by Seven, carry Sevens broadcast partner advertising.

20 clubs, and maybe qtrs would sort that.
Having said that the gap in previous tv deal wasn’t huge Given 9 games v. 8.

This deal is an anomaly created by Vlandys sht dealing and some extraordinary rights competition for afl rights Driving up their price.

Without competition it would likey have been nearer $475mill afl and nrl around $450mill if vlandys wasn’t a dck.
There's a very interesting and informative discussion happening in this thread and you're interrupting it by rolling out the same irrelevant V'landys crap. Give it a rest ffs.

Except the fact NRL is $400m cash so falls into around $430m with contra

As for the roughly $550m or so TV deal AFL gets. You have an extra round added for the next 2 years and the 7 years ( Outside of the existing money)

Remembering that an AFL Round is 1080 mins + adds. As opposed to 640mins for

Potential All Stars game

A full 18 team stand alone AFLW competition

On a $ per minute basis

Cricket is king
NRL 2nd
AFL 3rd

So the argument of foxtel being able to make more money off afl via ads is lessened and it should be down to which has the most subscribers

They still have more sponsors though and can sell them the pre show and qtr breaks of the remaining games

The AFL does not get 550m next year.

Next 2 years is 470m.

25 minutes till the ratings come out for metro and fox. I’m expecting a blood bath in Brisbane but who knows? The fumbles continued late into the night after the real game ended and that might or might not save them a bit of embarrassment.

The ratings will tell the true story .
the huge massive difference is
the Bris viewers for the NRL will be in the 100s of 1,000s
showing how far ahead RL is .
whereas the majority of fumblefans would have been at the game ..plenty of spare tickets lol .
so their tv numbers will be in the tens of thousands …lol prob 30-40 k .
showing outside their 20-30 k fans who go to games ( & how many were away fans ) their is very little support for the kitty kats .
