Im genuinely fighting back the tears mate.
Give the nrl a few more years

the next tv deal will see our salary cap at 15 million

plus 20 team nrl will need a lot of players I’m sure after the union World Cup there will be maybe a dozen who will find places in league

Nah mate, cut their legs out from under them and heavily raid their schoolboy stocks starting from now and the all blacks will resemble today’s wallabies.

maybe sign a token or 2 all blacks for publicity purposes as well.

Indeed but there’s lots of scope for even more mate.

as bad as last supper rugby is the kiwi RU produce a lot of talent rugby players that are perfectly suited to league and are incredibly wasted in union.

Steve edmeds son tane and Peter Jorgensons son max are absolute guns

I wouldn't say slow.
It's gotten worse since thier last meltdown..
Covid really did paper over the cracks for a few years but now there’s really no hiding away from the pathetic crowds, one-sided games and poor on-field product.

question is what will super rugby look like when Joseph sualili arrives?

Geez I could fall asleep through the " highlights "
Looks packed 👍
Good thing it doesn't matter about crowds.. while you're commenting on crowds..lol
I don't understand why the they have poor crowds in New Zealand for Super Rugby they only have 5 teams....it's not a good look.

All jokes aside. Are you concerned with the lopsided scores and crowds in Super rugby?

Not at all. There were just as many lopsided games last year in the NRL. Crowds against Aussie teams are a fact of life. It;s a good thing it doesn't matter.

The warriors being able to outdraw the last supper rugby games both in Australia and NZ is both funny and lame.

but watching your mental breakdown caused by this is way more funnier and more lame.

The first home game in TWO years and it got LESS than 19K. There have been a half dozen Super Rugby games this year that got that. Because you don't like it you just ignore it. Hell this coming Saturday there will be a game that will outdraw it.
You muppets drone on about crowds, and how wonderful The Warriors crowd was going to be, yet it wasn't much better than most of the NZ Super Rugby crowds and less than some.

Honestly, how will that work? If there's no genuine pro comp to draw players from and you're a talented Rugby player in NZ it becomes a serious issue.. you'll have no genuine comp to hone your skills and if you go to France or Japan your not eligible gor the All blacks.
So good players leave and aren't eligible and those who stay are off the pace because they've been essentially playing park footy...
Then the All blacks fall further and it loses its stature..
The only half fix is you make overseas players eligible but then everyone leaves...
And the effects of a lack of genuine contest regularly for Australia and New Zealand Union has already seen them fall further down the ranks.

This is unravelling fast.
Eddie Jones is just Canon fodder, poor bugger.

Except none of that is going to happen. Super Rugby in whatever form will be around as long as the NRL is.

NZ is too small population wise to have its own successful comp whilst the Aussie based sides are toilet.

add to that the South African sides buggered off and you’ve got the perfect storm for a slow creeping implosion.

You guys get more stupid every day. SKY TV gets its money from the NZ Market. That same Market that you say is too small. They Pay NZR for Rugby. There is more than enough money to pay for a fully professional 8 team comp if Australia pulled out of Super Rugby.

I wouldn't say slow.
It's gotten worse since thier last meltdown..

One day you will be able to find a current article or clip that's not over a year old... but not today.

You're a hypocrite, plain and simple. A team which is 70% Japanese is bad, yet a team that is LEGALLY only 5% tongan and 8% Samoan is good.
The Tongan and Samoan RL teams are good, that just a fact. However, I've never stated that RL is good at actually developing players from those nations. That work is only just starting now. On that we agree, there is much to do.

Let's not let the above though distract from the joke of a team that wear Japanese Union jerseys at the world cup that is propped up by foreigners.
