A cousin of mine used to live next door ro Corey Parker when Ben Hunt was still with Brisbane. He claims that Ben Hunt broke Corey Parkers quad bike by taking it over a jump too many times, and generally being a goose with it.

He was the middle man between the players and the board because guess what Ben, the players were not happy about the coach, your mate. All the onfield issues stemmed from him not the BOD. If your mate was not there maybe the players would not be going to you to voice their concerns like any player would do to their capt. As if the players were whinging about keeping Hook? It was clear they did not have time for him therefore not playing for him with 2 wins in the first 10 rounds.

Keeping him as captain is really showing disrespect for such an important role in a team. Why keep him as capt? There are guys that would love to be not only part of the red V but capt. He wants neither which he has indicated and for Saints to keep picking him as capt really shows poor form and that the captaincy is not really held in high esteem to a player that deserves it.

Maybe that is why Lomax is disgruntled. If it's true players are pi$$ed with BH, and the club is telling everyone how much they want to keep the twat, then they will definitely want to leave. I have a feeling it will either be Hunt or Lomax to go as both will not be in the team in 2024.

It's been painfully obvious for ages that Hunt, Hook, Macca, McGuire ... has been a thorn in the side for StGI for years. IMO, it's been like fighting against a terminal disease. I think we're now in remission with only a minor operation required at this stage.

The only time we have seen any performance from him that matched his pay packet is when his grossly overinflated contract was up for renewal.

We tolerated this bloke when he played ineptly game after game and when his missus was bleating about him being attacked on social media, you take the big money you need performance to match it and if you don't perform then criticism will follow, that's the way it is ,the club stuck solid behind him.

The true Ben Hunt is on show now and what a pathetic circus it is ,he waits until he is in origin camp again and then doubles down on criticizing the club ,Ricky Stuart has a good description of people of this character.
In my opinion sending him back to reserves will show management with a backbone and will be a good lesson to Hunt on how to act in the real world ,it will give him time to reflect when every opposition player is trying to bash him so they have a story for their mates down the pub.

Saints aren't in the greatest of spaces at the moment ,but this is an opportunity to get things going in the right direction as all the dirty laundry is out there for everyone to see, so hopefully the club rightfully returns serve and does this, and gives as good as it is getting from this disrespectful, undermining, overpaid entitled clown.

This is called player power and the Club backing them
It can be a secret ballot or show of hands
The majority have the say
If they dont want him , he goes back to NSW Cup until his preferred Club option comes up with a more than suitable exchange for 2024/25
While we didnt get the result last night ,the EFFORT was there and the group appeared much FREER and UNITED , akin to a hand brake being released or a CANCER cut out

Agree 100% dragonreddy. You have said the things that Hunt deserves. His pathetic excuses are what gets to me so much and how and when he gives them irks me to high heaven.

Kick him out of first grade. Why allow him to show his sooky face and his I don't care attitude to all us fans and the other players.

The idea has merit, but I would prefer to see the board act /override coach and just do it.
That would show that despite the clubs current position ,they are not going to be pushed around by a petulant spoilt brat.
At the moment Hunt is doing a ton of damage to the club ,yet still fronting up for his salary and seems to have no concept of how hard he is crapping all over the club.

Plenty of his rubbish performances over the years have contributed to the clubs current position.

He is acting like a DOG treat him like one.
