Awful lot of rubbish being written here. The Storm have proven that you can build a first rate club which wins premierships and rely on feeder clubs from interstate and without a first rate local comp.
Perth’s advantages are it can learn from the mistakes made in Melbourne by focussing on pathways immediately and rely on feeder clubs in the mean time, and they have the full support of the WA government who will make this club work.
If the Storm can do it Perth definitely will.
The endless negativity here about Perth would be humorous if it wasn’t so agenda driven and pathetic.

There is no agenda from me. I could care less who Perth partner with as long as it is someone who can assist with developing NRL talent

Norths aren't going to vote themselves into oblivion, so they will want to have some form of controlling stake in any bid.

For that reason alone, they aren't a viable partner.

A feeder relationship is all thats needed.

There is zero chance they are getting in though. So it is relocate the majority to Perth or stay in the 2nd tier.

You think Perth alone can recruit enough 17-19 year old to not fall behind the other 17 teams?

They dont need Norths for that recruitment.

And allowing Norths to retain some control on their side, is a recipe for disaster, which will result in a virtually immediate push back to Sydney the first sign on any trouble.

None of these nuffies can explain why the Storm have had huge success without a joint venture with an old dead Sydney club but the Perth side must. It’s a gaping hole in their argument.

This myth is based on absolutely nothing and goes against actual quotes from officials.
