Zelenskyy on his knees about to take it all and not spill a drop. He finally faced his reality. At least he isn’t as delusional as some of the wannabe freedom fighters on this forum.

Morons.
Time will tell.......but he may be playing Trump for a fool and into a corner with the backing from the UK, France and Germany....notice how his calls out Russia for a cease fire.....which Ukraine will to do.........

"We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same. Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree a strong final deal."

Will Russia do this ? Will Trump push Russia to do this? Pretty simply thing to do, if Trump/Putin are serious about a resolution to the conflict.

Let's see how is plays out over next few weeks......

Interestingly today, new Germany leader (who is conservative), announced defence spending above 1% of GDP to be exempted from debt brake calculation. And Poland announced increase of defence spending too. Significant moves.

I don’t think Putin has a X account.

You walked into that one brother.

Most likely Gronk and Phantom will find an article criticising the speech Trump has just given to Congress ( hint, the lefty NY Times will push it ), but it was powerful across so many subjects.
The Democrats squirmed their way through it and sat stony faced, holding child like signs .
If you get th chance to watch it, that’s what leaders should do, not Biden or Harris who failed basically. Patriotic and aimed at middle America.

Best I don’t try and make comment here. Because if I was stupid enough to do it to just gain credibility on a footy forum you wouldn’t believe me anyway, so what’s the point?

I’m going back to my exotic dancing lessons. It keeps me grounded.

It was definitely lacking in facts.....almost like a fantasy made up in a crazy old man's mind....

Well Zelenskyy went to the Oval Office the other day ready to sign... so no change there - just Trumpy has finished his soap opera/reality TV bully posturing.

Personally I think it was staged to try and make Vance seem like a tough guy - because Trump has to know his health won't be up to the full four year term, and for Republican succession planning to carry on "his legacy".

Don't need an article to criticise the holes in that Trump speech to his "fans" in Congress...

But yes, post-election the Democrats have been caught out in terms of not having a new leader post-Biden and post-Harris to take them forward and rally the concerns the average American will be starting to have against Trump an his cohorts following his "efforts" to far this year.

What is mind blowing is the terrible display by the Dems, Trump did an introduction to a wife is a slain police officer , and said he will pass an order that would mandate the death penalty for any criminal murdering a police officer, and the Dems didn’t applaud or stand to confirm that it was a good policy. terrible but not unexpected from the Pelosi led side of American politics

If you watch any politics, the only ones that applaud or stand to cheer a divisive leader are the ones from their own side.

Though I think Labor applauded Howard for his gun laws after Port Arthur - but that was early days in that weasel's overlong term of office.

yet you are ok, with Trump pardoning January 6 criminals who bashed police officers and lead to several officers deaths...

I wonder who is going to take over the leadership when Albo loses the election?
To close to call, but hopefully someone not as pissweak as Albo or Rudd (both for different reasons...)

Maybe Andrew Charlton......might help the eels...

You're not very good at trolling, plus you have a very selective memory. Marjorie and her mates heckled and booed their way through the last State of the Nation speech.

When a fur-coiffed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene yelled “liar” Tuesday night, among the loudest in an abrupt chorus of boos....

Me selective, that’s funny, you just spent 4 years pumping up the tyres of the Dems and the idiots Biden and Harris , whilst publishing every criticism of Trump. Yet it failed, sometimes you need to read the room, Albo couldn’t run a speech like that for fairly obvious reasons. He’s not really patriotic and was put in that position by the left of the Labor Party to be a small target, unfortunately he also has a small brain which means he cannot remember details or speak without horrible Ahs and pauses. Anyway, the failure to even stand up for local heroes etc was pretty damning, I tend to agree that Trump goes too far at times, but Biden and his son appear to have gone too far but outside politics.
