So, the tunnelling contracts for Sydney West Metro are almost complete. The project has been powering along due to contracts in force signed by the previous state govt.
However, this project will soon come to a halt. FMD.
Future works like station builds, OSD's, and the multitude of other content that needs to be put in place to complete the project have not been finalized. This stuff takes years to formalize and approve. Well done Labor. Once again, getting nothing done.
No doubt, they are waiting for a decision from the AJC, so they can justify their initial delay of the project which is already another 2 years until 2032. Pathetic. And all just so they could originally say that the project was inadequate because it didn't have a station between Olympic Park and Parra. Well, how's that turning out now?
And every year of delay costs us NSW taxpayers so much more. Don't play politics with our money.

Shouldn’t this be in The Parra Stadium Rebuild and other stuff thread? It’s getting quite confusing on here for us boomers.

Another meltdown on Sydney Trains today.
Signal failure at 9.15 this morning at Ashfield. It's still a shite fight 8 hours later!
Only one line is operating to timetable this afternoon, the T4.
Oh, and the metro of course.

My son goes for a uni tutorial on Fridays at UTS, 10-12 and that's it, he comes home after that. Today, he got stuck on a train going to the city, missed his class and so turned around and got delayed getting home.... He left home at 8:10AM and got back at 12:30PM and achieved nothing except an "absence" against his name for his troubles....

Great Work Sydney Trains!!
