Braith Anasta / Conflict of Interest

Braith Anasta has a gig on tv as well as being a player agent. I've seen through chat about his clients obvious conflict of interest issues when he discusses them.
He shared on tv the other night that if Hughes from Melbourne re-signed, Jonah Pezet (a client of Anasta's) would be a free agent. Isn't that basically advertising to clubs like Parra that his client may be available on national tv?
Im not a fan of him having those two roles.

I think he handles it ok. The info he shares would be common knowledge among clubs recruitment staff.

He doesnt hide the fact he is an agent.

Actually met him a few years back at Magic round - he sat and had a chat with my mates and I in a pub and was genuinely a nice bloke.

The thing I find funny is how all these people on fox have agendas.
Crawley defending his brother's (Raiders coaching staff) team and surprisingly defending Flanno's (former fox employee) team who now has a player that Braith manages.

Crawley is doing all the heavy lifting on the Raiders/Ricky love in since Kent is no longer there. Nice to see he still hates Crichton, his celebration against the Raiders a few years ago still burns obviously.

Anasta is probably the most balanced one on there, and when he does have a vested interest in a subject he usually declares it at the beginning of the discussion.

COI is pretty rampant.

But it's tough to prevent it when our chairman is also the ceo of another business which ostensibly competes with the game for gambling related revenue, sponsorships and government support.

It’s a strange one, he seems like a fairly decent guy but seems to cop a ton of heat. I’ve been informed that all those “most overrated” awards he was winning were very much personal.

He was an above average player and worthy of the rep games he played.

I just think people expected more from him, maybe because of his uncle George??, maybe because he played for the Roosters and not Souths??

Uncle George aside there’s been hundreds of players who played rep footy that could have been more than they were. And every Roosters vs Rabbitohs game has about a dozen players who have played for both sides.

Bloke clearly isn’t well liked by his peers, I’ve heard a couple of reasons why, but considering some huge pieces of shit get lorded as legends, it surprises me that fans unanimously seem to dislike him.

Not sure because what insight would you got from people with no history in the game?
The assumption though is the ex player is the best for that.

Analysis isn't really a required skill of a player who doesn't get time to think through it all. Some of the worst "analysis" has come from legendary halves. They can break down individual decisions but can't really fit the skill set of the players into the plan.

People can have a history with the game without having played it at the elite level.

I know the the saying "those that can't do teach" is meant as an insult but the reverse is also true. Those that can't teach just do.

Like when they say "he leads by example" oh okay, so he just plays really freaking well but doesn't actually help you play better
