Wonder how the Bulldogs crowds will go this year with most of the Bankstown line shutdown for Metro conversion works that will certainly impact crowd figures, especially at their home games at Accor. There's only a few reserved seats in the grandstand left as of this post for this Sunday's game at Belmore, General Admission is still available as well
might not have much impact since the Bankstown line does really go to Homebush

This is the first season with the new Parramatta Light running from Westmead and Parramatta to the stadium - not sure it will have much impact on crowds though

Theres a pretty big population directly east of penrith, dont they follow the panthers?
I am guessing that for some people getting the Parramatta might be easier than Penrith - though my guess is that for the majority it may not be

Assume that many Penrith fans may be north or south of railway line - though the Richmond line goes through Parramatta as well

I wonder if most Penrith fans usually drive anyway

I think the issue is that it adds another 30 minutes to a trip that might be 30 min just to Penrith
An hour to get to a game is nothing to complain about.I have friends who travel from Maryborough, St Leonards, Ararat and Warrnambool and Ballarat (me)for every home game. We never miss a home game

if you are used to not travelling an hour then it is something to put people off
not everyone is a tough guy

I'll admit I have NFI what is happening at CommBank for tonight's Panthers v Roosters game. Southern GA has been taken off sale, additional bays have been put on sale for the first time in the lower bowl (103, 104, 125, 126)... on Ticketek it looks like it's selling well, which is complete contrast to the News story... so I guess we'll wait and see...

Warriors v Sea Eagles has just stopped moving the last few days which is unfortunate. Hopefully still enough pre-sales to crack 20K, but not looking great.

In Canberra, GA is sold out for Raiders v Broncos. South end went off last night, North went about 15 minutes ago. Very encouraging pre-sales.

Commbank is struggling to sell tonight...

Expected crowd is under or just about 10,000 unfortunately unless massive massive walk up. I do some work at Commbank and they're getting enough staff for an expected crowd of 10,000.

Parra V Tigers 15-18000 expected but this will more likely get a walk up.

I think the last time that both ends of GA sold out was for Croker's 300th that drew 21k.

Keen to see how many 'bronze terrace' category sell overnight.

EDIT @ 2:30pm: more GA tickets have been put on sale

What is not going to help tonight for CommBank is an almost complete meltdown of the Sydney trains system today due to a signal failure at Ashfield this morning.
As of this afternoon, only one line was operating without delays - the T4 line which is the Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra line which goes nowhere near Parramatta anyway. Of course, the Metro is performing faultlessly but again, this won't help.
This will absolutely reduce the attendance tonight, even for those that have pre-purchased tickets.
We need more automated metros. Sydney Trains are a joke.
This is just a snippet of the problems.
