I'd say he is affiliated with the Craig Young, Peter Doust, and Bob Millward faction—the last one standing. Why is he protected? What’s his long term affiliation with the club he has overstayed his welcome.

Agree! The koe pack is more willing than the firsts I thinkThat must remind you of someone that we had on our books for seven long, painful years. Ilias is still learning the fundamentals of a half. Perhaps reserves is the best school room for him for a month or so. He will certainly have a more bigger and willing pack to play behind. But he will be back.
Did our esteemed coach have a good think about who will replace Ilias before wielding the axe. He will want his son no doubt. He and none of the other candidates are any better than Ilias, so Flanno is gonna be wearing egg on face yet again.
..and I dont, with 50 years hero worshiping the RedV. All this turmoil wont win us games and as the guy who picks the sides Flanno is to blame for it. Jeez if he had a quality half/game manager to replace Ilias, I'd back him. BUT HE DOES NOT.I love the game and the Dragons
x2 ..........I feel sorry for Ilias as a person who seems like a nice genuine young kid and grew up a Dragons fan but I was very skeptical when we signed him and I haven’t seen anything from him so far that has shown me he’s even a passable first grade halfback. One good short ball to Egan for a try Is the only positive thing I’ve seen. Sure it doesn’t help when our front row can’t get us field position but every long kick last week just gifted the Roosters easy field position. At least try to find the grass Lachlan.
Of course there will be those saying that KF should get the same treatment but firstly running out two rookies halves is a gigantic risk. And KF is a more reliable player. Sure he can be very average but he does have the odd good game here and there. There’s more upside to him than Ilias.
Sadly I don’t think changing either half will provide any long term miracles. Willie Mason is still asking where our front rowers are. Until that changes both our halves are on a hiding to nothing.
I hope if the news is true then young Ilias goes back to NSW cup and finds some form and shows us he’s worth another crack. Otherwise probably England beckons for him.
Why is it so difficult to coach and train for a decent kicking game? It's discussed as though it's some sort of individual talent. Isn't it a coachable skill?Yes it wasn’t his fault although his kicking game is schoolboy level. No spirals or depth or any variation other than down the fullback or winger’s throat. In saying that the chasing hasn’t been good either so they start their sets on the 30m. Not sure who is better though we have a big problem there. Does LKT kick ? Does Glover kick ? On second thought how come Holmes doesn’t kick?
Sounds like your expectations for the team and season were set too high. Adjust and relax... IMO we are currently a high probability 9-15, team and a low possibility 16-17 OR 7-8 team. If things progress well from here, in 2-3 seasons we could be a high probability 5-12, team and a low possibility 13-19 OR 1-4 team.WE had three from six before last weeks game. A pretty good start to the season. Were send back to earth tho by a hungrier Roosters 17 that has had a shocker start to their season. So now we will be upturning the apple cart with a different halves combo. How is this turmoil expected to keep us winning.
He won't even make it in England, no way.I feel sorry for Ilias as a person who seems like a nice genuine young kid and grew up a Dragons fan but I was very skeptical when we signed him and I haven’t seen anything from him so far that has shown me he’s even a passable first grade halfback. Won't have a bench with KFlano and Liddle, no way..He won't even make it in England, no way.
Glad to see Flannagan looking to the Future, LKT 7, Atkinson 6, Flannagan to 14? Liddle to share with Cook? someone is Moving on I Bet, His Name is Jacob Liddle , not happy about that.
I sense this correct, liddle will get picked up somewhere else with Kyle at 14 next year. Liddle needs more minutes this year.He won't even make it in England, no way.
