Unless he moves Sloan to left, he has played there before in 1sts.If Lawson gets the call up today it will be for Sloan. Both play right side see what happens.
Surely he won't drop Allan. If anyone has had enough chances it's Sloan, Allan deserves a few more games especially coming back from an ACLUnless he moves Sloan to left, he has played there before in 1sts.
Yep, just reminded via another thread that Sloan injured his arm last week. Makes sense to rest him before the bye. Convenient too.Surely he won't drop Allan. If anyone has had enough chances it's Sloan, Allan deserves a few more games especially coming back from an ACL
Lawson has played both sides in NSW Cup. Has played a few games as left centre/wing. However, he has been mostly on the right. If Lawson gets the call up today it will be for Sloan. Both play right side see what happens.
Now after watching both Sloan and Allan you would think Lawson should get a crack this week considering neither of them have set the world on fire to datePretty sure ive seen Lawson both sides, ctr and wing.. I dont think he really has a preference... if he gets a call up its more whether its for Sloan or Allan, both struggling, but more likely right-side given CT is to come back to the left at some point.
Sloan did score two tries last start but him coming off his line caused the Broncos comeback. Still just keeps his spot. Now after watching both Sloan and Allan you would think Lawson should get a crack this week considering neither of them have set the world on fire to date
o Lawson was 18th man against Brisbane (i.e. missed NSW Cup) and was held out of the NSW Cup game on the weekend.. it has to be because hes about to get his First Grade debut.. cause these games are invaluable for his development... id say this weekend might be the one.Now after watching both Sloan and Allan you would think Lawson should get a crack this week considering neither of them have set the world on fire to date
You have set the table. We have problems and we have players not performing in their current positions. Make some changes as this just is not working:Sloan needs to go , Suli can join him or try him on the wing , Allan ( what he lacks in pace makes up with smarts ) to centre Lawson to wing , Cook isn't doing it for me , Liddle needs more game time KLT stays at 6 or 7 maybe Gutho in the halves Holmes to Fullback we have options, it's not working so try something else ........
Come on Katoa and Hass??????You have set the table. We have problems and we have players not performing in their current positions. Make some changes as this just is not working:
2026
1. Ramsey
2. Lawson
3. Gutherson
4. Holmes
5. CT
6. Atkinson
7. Katoa - if possible
8. Hass - if possible
9. Liddle
10. Tupou
11. Eagan
12. Su'A
13. Stewart
14. Flannagan
15. Tonga
16. T Couchman
17. R Couchman
The above 17 includes some new faces that will be at significant salary cap cost. So some hard decisions must be made in order to accommodate change. Unfortunately, some players need to be moved on:
Sloan
Ilias
Suli
Lawrie
De Belin
Klemmer
Sele
Leilua
With the above changes, we do have room within the cap and the capacity to include some bright new talent. I'd say this would be a-kin a 'Bath Babes' squad of players.
Changes need to be made in the football department and at BOD level:
Haran
Millard
Millward
Young
All need to be replaced with talented, dynamic and professional staff.
I don't think Suli should be moved on. He has had an average year but he isn't being played the right way, as others have said and I agree that he would be better suited to edge back rower similiar to how Olakautu plays for Manly. Holmes and Lawson in the centres would add plenty of skill and speed we just need to sort out who our wingers are going to be. So many players to choose from in the backs next year..You have set the table. We have problems and we have players not performing in their current positions. If they hand Lawson his debut jumper, I hope he plays outside Holmes because no winger will shine playing outside Suli.o Lawson was 18th man against Brisbane (i.e. missed NSW Cup) and was held out of the NSW Cup game on the weekend.. it has to be because hes about to get his First Grade debut.. cause these games are invaluable for his development... id say this weekend might be the one.
o I think SFinau is in line behind him still.. I thought maybe he was leaving, but he got switched to the right side on the weekend in place of Rumble (who killed it there the week before).. could be something in that also... maybe he is the backup plan if Lawson doesnt cope well with the step up.
Although I agree our fastest guy should be left.. it wont be cause CT is still the guy most in favour.. he's due back in the next week or 2..If they hand Lawson his debut jumper, I hope he plays outside Holmes because no winger will shine playing outside Suli.
