2025 Crowd Watch

I think the most effective comparison is pax for Bulldogs + Eels in 2024:

4 days out in 2024, pax was approximately 33,000 as shown in screenshot below

7 days out in 2025, pax is already 3,500 higher than it was at 4 days out in 2024. That surely puts the absolute minimum at 50k.
To use your ratio formula from Good Friday (using last years Bulldogs v Eels figures) -

Final Crowd figure: 45,496

PAX 4 days out: 33,000

33,000/45,496 = 0.7253
-----------------------------
Out of interest with the PAX above, even though it's about 3 days early.

= pax / factor
= 36459/ 0.7253
= 50,267

To be on track for 65,000 - would want to be at 47,150 PAX by Thursday.

Media hyping the crowd size is always a positive, but its the pax factor + the TfNSW event planning guidance that tends to be most accurate.

With that in mind, TfNSW has updated its travel advice for Canterbury vs Parramatta, and is now planning for a crowd of over 60,000. This is up from 50,000 with their initial advice:

They really need to put on some major event transport for this one.

Agreed. In addition to the usual shuttle service from Lidcombe, it looks like they're going to run:
- Two direct trains from Central to SOP
- 3 trains an hour (20 min frequency) from 2:00pm-6:00pm from Blacktown to SOP via Parramatta, and
- 6 trains an hour (10 min frequency) from 2:00pm-8:00pm from Liverpool to SOP via Lidcombe.

The additional services only really facilitate movement for an upper limit of 20k before the game. That's pretty underwhelming for a 60k crowd.

Hopefully we get some decent sales today and tomorrow and they start pushing for some more major event services. It was definitely an advantage Good Friday had with Major Event buses and trains in service.

They're already trying to discourage people from driving because there's a Katy Perry concert on as well on the same day, surely we have to be getting close to enough people to enable some more transport options.

Post in Dogs forum at 1:30pm today - Pax = 37,673 - about 1000 sold since midnight last night.

= pax / factor
= 37,673/ 0.7253
= 51,941

~72 hours until we get a more accurate figure

Hopefully Lachlan Galvin gets named and that pushes sales tomorrow into Wednesday.

Long range forecast at this point looks good.

I don't think we will see any movement on any games sold through ticketek tonight. G-Dragon (lol) tickets went on sale today, and I just tried to check on Broncos tickets and am 1,471,140th in line ha

Edit: all good, seems like ticketek purged the scalping bots

I could be wrong but I think the PAX number will get a massive boost on or around Wednesday when the Addon stadium member tickets get printed and any promotion ones/corprotate tickets etc.

Last time for south dogs they were moving decent amounts at night. Like 1k or so

Need to see momentum if they want to beat that game

And Suncorp - impressive given how much of a dumpster fire we are.

Black - predominantly sold or appearing as unavailable (some areas might have blocks released later in the week)
Blue - available
Pink - 513, and 531 are flexi member bays, leftovers in these bays will be opened Thursday and Friday.

Dogs eels looks decent

Big chunk of 400 east sold already which would be around 40k mark which I don’t think has sold so many so early for the bunnies game

Think they only sold 400 east out last time a day before the game or on the day of

I think they should have opened all of that level 6 area as $10 tickets
Agree or if they are going to make parts of Level 6 Gold or Silver, should have just released them at the same time.

They made this same mistake on Good Friday and ended up with scenarios where some people got the better Level 6 seats for $10 because they waited, whilst others paid $65+ because they bought a few days out.
