When Pou says resources, I don’t think he exactly means other clubs have more money or more support or saying those clubs are better than us.
Clubs just have different types of resources.
We can not compete with Canberra on cost of living and maybe climate preference or if a Queenslander doesn’t want to leave Queensland, how do we compete with Dolphins?
Every club is going to have different competitive advantages and every player is going to value their preferences differently.
Where resources is a factor, and it seems more and more likely we are lacking, is actually understanding the competitive advantages we have that players value.

They not necessarily unique but the point is aligning what we have to what good players want.
It may very well calculate as we have to pay significantly for the good players and balance the squad with less good players who align to what we provide. Ideally you wind up in Riff position where those less good players are cheaper youth players who you can maybe nurture into replacing your good players at a cheaper price than fair market. But if it also means for every Crichton you sign, you can only afford a Sexton then why is that good enough for Dogs but not us?

I've done the same (when I lived in the Parra area). They aren't very keen.
I actually lie to them and tell them Parra have an Indian RL academy with multiple up and coming stars.

Panthers went west in search of junior development incorporating country areas like Bathurst, Dubbo and Mudgee while solidifying their base in Blacktown, St. Mary's through to the Riff itself and into the Blue Mountains.
