Why would you not include the NRL grant in Football Club revenue?
Because it isnt money directly generated by the club, its amount is really based largely on the success or otherwise of NRLHQ. But yes it can be included, though again it can vary by up to $2-3million depending on what teams the club is running (and other factors it seems that I still havent fathomed out!)

Either way Panthers FC are not generating $50mill revenue. The club is generating $21mill and the NRL grant is $18mill.

.

The clubs are generating revenue for the nrl by being in the comp. The grant is their cut of the money generated by the game through them playing in the comp.

No teams, no games, no money.

.
Very simple shit. Perth Dread is pathetic

It also severely impacts the revenue generation for gate takings, memberships and corporate sales compared to clubs in better stadiums. I guess if you have no confidence you can increase your fanbase and corporate sale appeal then sure, a run down small stadium you're not having to hire (but are having to maintain and run) might make sense.

eg in revenue generation in those 3 game day areas (+sponsorship) 2024
Suburban grounds
Tigers $11.8mill
Sharks $12.3mill

Modern stadiums
Souths $19.2mill
Eels $20.6mill
Cowboys $24.6mill
Once the Shark Park ground and stand refurbishments are complete, which include two new indoor/outdoor decks of corporate spaces in the PB stand, the corporate space on the outdoor club deck above the Chinese restaurant (which is also corporate on game day) and Ground capacity moving back up to 18K from the current 13K, the current waiting list of companies wanting corporate hospitality at the Sharks ground will be able to be serviced. The ground being a building site is what is currently restricting the corporate dollar, not the fact it is a suburban ground!

The base NRL grant is a club entitlement for participation in the leaguie. Of course its club revenue. It can vary depending on grassroots, promotion, prize money and NRLW initiatives though.

Where can I find this information?

Wests Tigers respond to being bottom.

Wests Tigers would like to clarify statements made by The Daily Telegraph in an article published on Thursday, June 26, relating to 2024 NRL club commercial figures.
Since the start of 2024, the club has been transparent relating to our commercial figures. We identified that we were significantly underperforming across key commercial metrics.
The club has made significant strides this season across all key metrics, however, we will not rest on our laurels as we strive towards being a top four club.

The suburban stadia strategy last season (five games played at Campbelltown Sports Stadium and Leichhardt Oval respectively) significantly hampered our corporate hospitality and game day revenue which is why we continually stress the importance and need for this club to be playing out of modern, state of the art and fit-for-purpose venues.
The club has experienced significant commercial growth in 2025, seeing year-on-year growth across all key metrics, due in large part to the introduction of CommBank Stadium as a home venue.
This growth includes:
  • Hospitality — 51% year-on-year
  • Game Day Revenue — 27% year-on-year
  • Membership — 27% year-on-year
  • Sponsorship — 16% year-on-year
  • Merchandise — 16% year-on year
The club continues to make lengthy strides off the field, with a new blue-chip NRL and NRLW major partner in Pepper Money, and all NRL and NRLW apparel assets being sold prior to their respective seasons commencing.
Outside of these key commercial metrics, the club has experienced:
  • A 24% year-on-year increase in game day crowds.
  • An 8% growth in TV viewership year-on-year, equating to an additional 500,000+ viewers.
The club would like to thank our Members, corporate partners and fans who have played a significant role in the strides the club has taken off the field thus far.
We’ve come a long way; however, the job isn’t done yet.

Why did it take until Richo showed up before they realised this?
