Not really, he has forced at least 2 that I can remember where the opposition kicked out on the full.I consider that role Ryley plays of putting fake pressure on the kicker to be an embarrassment for RL. Has he actually made a charge down? He always pulls out a couple metres from the bomber.
The game should just outlaw charge downs. Make them a knock on.
yeah Ryley is an interesting one, it's pretty much a break out year for a late bloomer, I imagine his ceiling would be higher but how high is pretty much anyones guess...
Unless you pull it off like Chinboy last week it really is a low % play.I consider that role Ryley plays of putting fake pressure on the kicker to be an embarrassment for RL. Has he actually made a charge down? He always pulls out a couple metres from the bomber.

If the plan was for TDS to play fewer than 80 minutes then I probably would.Hey @Poupou Escobar ...would you start Ryley ahead of TDS?
‘Bigger dudes’ generally aren’t as mobile as smaller dudes. The laws of physics play a role here. That’s why the biggest merkins in the NRL are smaller than they were 20 years ago when the game was much slower. If that’s an actual position, surely the club can get better (bigger) dudes to play it. I realise Smith is crazy fit but you could get guys from AFL or athletics bulk them up slightly and have them doing that.
ffsYou are assuming that it only takes fitness to perform that role.....
Have Tigers training facilities removed the hair dressers and installed a copium den?Benji has firmly hitched his wagon to the young kids coming through, we just have one better than TDS.

Api is better than TDS right now and for the next couple of years. TDS is young with a lot of potential, but on "potential" TDS was the third best 9 at the club last week.
As far as "instead" of young talent coming through....benji was the one who gave an 18 yo Galvin first shot at 6 ahead of others, at times this year we have had 3 20yo's in the spine.
Excuse me but how does the Tigers get a COE at Concord and then another one at Campbelltown ?Have Tigers training facilities removed the hair dressers and installed a copium den?
Is that a fact? That is interesting.‘Bigger dudes’ generally aren’t as mobile as smaller dudes. The laws of physics play a role here. That’s why the biggest merkins in the NRL are smaller than they were 20 years ago when the game was much slower.
These C-O-E have to involve corruption.Excuse me but how does the Tigers get a COE at Concord and then another one at Campbelltown ?

I find it fascinating that according to you every move the tigers make is the right one …. always one step ahead and outsmarting other clubs and particularly the poor old eels.Benji has firmly hitched his wagon to the young kids coming through, we just have one better than TDS.

It surely is. The ideal generic middle forward in the modern game is about the same size as JFH (and Williams, Hopgood, Moretti, Guymer and JDB). Teams only really carry one or two proper big merkins in the 17, and only one of those on the field at a time unless they’re chasing points. Is that a fact? That is interesting.
I agree with your first sentence for sure, I just wonder if the sweet spot for fitness/size/mobile isnt a slightly bigger dude.
I thought it was because Hills Shire council gave them the land for free. There is a reason someone decided the Parra CoE should be in Kellyville and not Parramatta, and it wasn't because that's exactly where the Eels were always puting it there.
