the clubs dont like the French club as it takes 1.5million a year out of the pot and adds nothing to the value of the tv or sponsorship deals that feeds the pot. “The pot” … you mean their share that all the English clubs get ?

Sometimes you got to spend money to make money… the NRL is finally doing that again in Perth , althoigh God knows when that pay off is

I mean the revenue that SL earns that clubs get a share of. Revenue that Dragons get a share of and add nothing to.

re Perth: You could say getting $35mill for grassroots RL and $50mill for a club owned by NRL has already contributed significantly!

Just compare how he wants the nrl to spend tens of millions on juniors in wa with negative roi to the super league granting Catalans around 1.5 million pounds

His views are actually a majority of English fans views too

It’s why the arl should avoid super league like the plague. A big chunk of fans are feral they will turn on the arl within five minutes of the takeover

Again for the people who have no comprehension ability!
I think Catalans are a welcome addition to SL and hope to see Tolouse in as well, but I also understand why clubs that are fiancially struggling and seeing central revenue decreasing are questioning why they get a 12th of the pot when they financially add nothing to it.

An extra 100k per club will make zero difference

Your league will always be stuck where it is with that povo mentality

Cost Toronto their super league spot to Leigh

The dud super league clubs should be looking inward rather than worrying about Catalans

Your club has shown what can be done even when the tv deal got cut by 50 percent

Wakey and leigh as well have made huge growth

Lol… yeah I’m sure the NRL is sweating on money being spent on a gym and to fly some 15 yr olds around the country

Catalans dragons turnover 2023 13 million euro

Which is on par with Leeds rhinos who own their own stadium and make lots of money renting out boxes for the cricket next door

Toulose will bring no away fans so no share of the tv deal even though they will have earned it under the img criteria with Salfords struggles

" clubs that are financially struggling " need to take a good hard look in the f**king mirror. They've only had a 100 plus years to get their shit together.
There's no money in the game, not enough fans and a consistently reduced TV deal.

I for one have no interest in the opinions of the very self interested arse wipe who through their own self interest created this death spiral..the answer apparently is more self interest..
