Your claim that "socialism has never worked" is an opinion, as success depends on definitions and metrics. Norway and Sweden are examples of successful countries with strong socialist policies, like universal healthcare and welfare, within market economies. They boast high GDP per capita (~$94,000 and ~$58,000 in 2024) and top HDI rankings.
Those countries have statistically very high rates of depression and misery.

Sure, you didn't, but you did say show me one successful socialist.......

To which the obvious answer would be China ( communist, but whatever ) and your "show me" would I have no doubt exclude China, because capitalism.
None of that would have happened. Cool story though...

Man, this here is whitey cope. Honestly, China's far from perfect, but they are even further away from the basket case picture you paint here
Na....Just like every "closed" economy that existed, they eventually crash and burn!! it just takes time to come out. History shows it.

The have an economy based on cheap labour for the world and internal construction. They have zero innovation (except for when they doing industrial espionage) and have no real "service" industry for the world (which is what creates a modern economy). A non-existence judiciary system.

While with any authoritarian country there is minimal, checks and balances. Leadership only want to hear what they want to hear. Creates big issues especially with one's military. They don't even have a floating dollar they are so scared of some "balance", and losing some control.

And as I said huge debt and corruption problems!

Just like Russia when someone eventually pushes back on them (Taiwan war?), it is shown to be a hollow threat to the world.

Agreed Chat GPT. Pure socialism doesn't work.

Social democracies such as Norway and Sweden that take elements but don't turn their back on a market-based economy are successful.

But no-one would describe Norway or Sweden as a socialist country.
Yes it's not the policies that hurt, it's having a closed market along with one party rule, which prevents checks and balances combined with corruption from the elite in those systems.
