Had an incredible couple of years and ended up averaging late 40s. A few questions as to what he's like as a bloke too. Basically India's Michael Clarke.
Different culture over there.

Clarke fitted in with not many in the team he played with because of his personality and need to be glamour star as well.

India though its more about yourself then Team India.

I reckon Ravi Ashwin seems like more of a wanker then Kohli

This one doesn't require a thread I think:

England 3-498 at stumps against the hapless Zimbabweans. Crawley, Duckett (Yes he is still around) and Pope all filling their boots.

Run rate ticking along at 5.66 an over. Scintillating. Day 2 can't come soon enough.

Whilst most of international cricket fans attention has been on the England vs India and West Indies vs Australia test series, little did I know (until late last night) that Zimbabwe is playing a 2 test series vs South Africa (or, I should call them the South African 2nd XI side, as Bedingham/Mulder/Verreynne are the only players from the WTC final that are playing in this test).

Just seen moments ago that Wiaan Mulder has become the 7th player in test cricket history to score 350 in an innings.

Currently on 358* (just smashed a huge six out of Bulawayo) and no doubt he will be going for Brian Lara's world record of 400* today, given that these opportunities don't come around often.

The Saffas 5/626 at lunch on day 2.

Mulder still there on 367*, gone past Hutton and Sobers on the all-time highest test score list.

Only Jayawardene (374), Matt Hayden (380) and Brian Lara (400* and 375) are ahead of him

Like I said in the Windies thread (I'm unimaginative, sue me), imagine winning the toss, having a bowl, and then watching some bloke with a Test average of 26 peel off 400 odd at better than a run a ball.

In a somewhat strange decision (I say strange because time to win the test is definitely not an issue, given it's still only day 2), the Saffas declared during the lunch break, hence Mulder finished on 367* (5th highest test innings).

And just as I typed that, first ball of the Zimbots' 1st innings and the Saffas take a wicket.

1/0
