Steve Smith MOM
48 and 5

Thought Green should have got it if they had to pick a bat 46 and 42

is that for real?

I get that when runs are at a premium, a lock of 48 can be vital. But it absolutely has to go to a bowler. They just bowled a test team out for the second lowest ever innings score. Surely Starc gets it

Haha for real?Agree with Green if they had to pick a bat, but we've just skittles them for the second lowest Test score ever with one bloke getting 6/9 and another getting a hat trick

CA has Starc MOTM

Of the ten Australian test bowlers to take the 12 test hat tricks, EIGHT have been Victorian.

5 of the last 6 : Boland 2025, Siddle 2010, (MCGRATH 2000/01), Warne 1994, Fleming 1994, Merv 1988/89.

Fleming should’ve had two but for Warne being a merkin and dropping a sitter at slip.

Nice to see Victoria contributing something to Australian cricket other than mediocre batsmen and f**king up the wickets with their fumbleball.

Well breakfast cricket was nice for two days.

Hard to complain as we won 3-0 but probably one of the more unconvincing 3-0 results.

The Ashes will be no walkover with that batting lineup. I think the bowlers will do enough to win but I can see it being a tight series

I'm not concerned about Bazball specifically but I am concerned about CAs love for roads...

Yup

If we win the toss and bat, bat for 5 1/2 sessions is imperative, particularly if its hot weather

Their attack might not be great so no excuses for our guys not to cash in

I think out bats are pretty even. Smith , Head and now Green coming into form, plus Carey. Slug solid,

They have Root, Brook, Smith. Then Duckett can get away, and Stokes is good at times when needed

Three 120+ run wins are basically thrashings on low scoring bowler friendly pitches.

Our positions 4-11 (12 including Boland) are pretty good. Green starting to show promise at 3. Our only big problem is finding two openers. I think they'll recall Marnus unless someone scores heavily in Shield.

All things, considered, I grew up in the Eighties. It was WI destruction every second summer in tests or WSC. When we finally won it in 1995, it was amazing scenes. Thirty years later, there’s been a couple of close/drawn series but winning 3-0 whitewash still makes me happy.
