I don't think he does any more.

Centre is the only possibility, but Russell and Simonssen are both centres and I don't think Brown adds anything more there. They need to get their combos with our wingers right for 2026, rather than find a spot for underperforming and departing Brown.
That’s a fair point too.

6 wins from 26 games @ GIO Stadium

Our worst venue of the modern era.

Gee we have copped some thumpings down there over the years.

I wasn't alive in 1993 but gee LU would have gone berserk over a 68-0 defeat.

LU wasn't alive then either 😁

Some of us old timers were around on the official Parra forums though (now extinct)

Cant remember too much outrage, we were consistently crap early 90s..

I get you mate. My mail was that he was going to be named. We need Moses too. It’s impossible now to win without him.
It's clear that winning games for the remainder of the season is now not the priority.

I'd argue that winning games this season may have never even been a priority at any stage given some of the recruitment, retention/non-retention and selections/non-selections that have happened since last October.

Someone needs to tell Ryles there are no draft picks.

Don't just focus on our signings, the following will be entering their second year of NRL:

- Iongi (23 next year)
- Papalii (22)
- Kk (24)
- Tuivaiti (21)
- Samrani (24)
- Smith (23)

While Guymer (22), TDS (20), Penisini (24), Russell (24) will have another years experience.

That's 10 players, all who will improve after another years experience and NRL season.

I am guessing 8, probably 9 will be in our 17 (Samrani unlikely but think Guymer may). Maybe it won't be enough, but it's a good indication, that the squad will have a fair bit of improvement in it, just as it currently is due to its age/experience.

Additionally the spine (Iongi, Papali, Moses, smith, TDS, Walker), will get a full off season to work together which they haven't had yet. And there will be more signings.

Exciting times!!

Bar Tuivati,TDS and Ionghi I see a bunch of potential average NRL players at absolute best. Half wont even be that. I wouldn't get excited about guys like Samrani or Russel

2 Lomax
3. Russell
4. Simmonson
5. Addo-Carr
6. Joash
7. Football Dean
16 Doorey

10 Paulo
11. Williams
12. Guymer

Maybe it's another chance for Joash before Moses returns next week and Footy Dean moves to 5/8.
Hawkins has been pretty good covering for Moses.
True. I think Ryles alreadyknows that Hawkins is a decent enough next man up for Moses in #7. But he might be keen for Papalii to start to form the first choice halves combo with Moses for 2026 once Mitch returns.

It’s how it’s panned out and let me tell you it’s a f**king disgrace. Nobody predicted the season to be this shit. It’s f**king July and we have basically given up.

The club is a f**king shambles. They should all hang their heads in shame.

Not sure in shambles we are basically around the same place on the ladder though but with a completely different Roster.
