Its definitely an LU thing.

I feel like I'm a bigger fan of the Raiders than most of their fans on here to be honest.

They have a fantastic mix of experience and youth. The best in the comp actually. And it appears they have a fountain full of players in reserve ready to step up too. Injuries aren't going to stop them this year.

But straight sets finals losses are a big chance. If they lose week one then I'm sceptical how they handle week two.

That would be the one reservation compared to Storm or Pamfers and so on.
The average age of our backline aside from Fog is pretty young. Timoko has played several Tests but that's about it.

The forwards have plenty though- Tapine NZ captain, Papa oodles of experience, Young in Origins, even Hors has a lone Origin and a GF appearance at least.

The club has to hope the pack just does what it does well enough to settle the backs. Fortunately we don't rely on structured set plays where the backs need to be precise. They mostly just need to sniff for offloads and run hard.

Can you have a soft spot for the Raiders but hate Ricky?

Loved the team for years (the late 80s/90s rivalry with the Panthers was awesome) and they have Questacon. It is not often I agree with Chins, but I pity the fans for the hold that Ricky has over the club.

Sure they are flying high right now, but the little sociopath is only ever one emotionally immature act away from imploding the whole thing.
