They're going to take a fair hit cap wise paying him out. Not sure Phil would be too happy signing that off.
Do you mean even when you pay out a player, some of it is still left in the cap? I thought if someone is paid out the cap space was totally freed up?

We've signed Kingston Seve

He's a 17yo outside back from Qld and is very very good
This is typically what POS recruitment is going to look like. People can keep bitching and moaning about not landing big names but he's going to fix the cap - we're a lot closer to that now and build from the lower grades like every successful club has. His philosophy - his words, not mine - is trying to hit on 3-4 juniors (from Matts up) per class. It's hard but when it work it works well.
Dolphins put on a show last night and look great so early on. Who signed most of them again?

Its a big reason we signed Brown on a 10 year deal too. We still wont do much in 2026 but 2027 onwards is going to start paying off imo.

Not writing Annan off yet. Was always gonna need time and the fact he keeps getting shuffled around the backline hasn’t helped his development one bit.
They should’ve keep him at 6 in Cup because he’s got easily the biggest boot at the club.

Dylan Brown was developed in a system where he played second fiddle to Moses and Gutherson. Gutho could not tie his shoe laces for ability. So he always going to be the third choice playmaker. Instead of figuring out how to make him better Ryles has decided to do nothing with him but pick him due to Moses being absent. So moving here is clean slate. The demand of being a 7 could be the making of him. If it does not work, in two years he moves back to 6 and Sharpe goes to fullback if KP leaves.

To be honest, I haven't seen anything from him that seems elite? If that makes sense. He looks a strong defender and maybe might become as good as Anasta or Barrett in their primes but I don't see him being top top class.

He's 16, not 17, so still a few years later even in a best case scenario.

O'Sullivan is clearly a fan but "next Sua'ali'i" is just the Mole doing the kid's agent a favour as he does with juniors all the time. We've signed a few who sound like world beaters in the Mole's write-ups and then do very little, or are never heard of again.
