Rent is expensive
New area with no roots in the local community
Doesn’t the club or a group associated with the club own it

They need their own stadium even if it starts out as all scaffolding

Club at that ground will be losing millions pa

Stadium itself is nice and a good size

The money David Hughes has blown they already could have a good stadium they own now

Ealing was a dump but the union club were very accomodating

If the soccer club owned them and didn’t charge them rent then sure it would work then
rent isnt expensive if they are in SL and filling it
Wherever they go to will be a new area with no roots. Moving again just exasperates that
lol sure, buy a 5 acre block in London and build a stadium. Wonder why they have never thought of that. Genius!
You're speculating on losses, and why would it be ground driven? Do you have rental details on what they are paying there compared to other options? Originally the ten year deal was for between 16k -31k a game depending if they were in championship or SL and on crowd size and revenue generated.
His money was needed just to run the club. Even if you could build a 10k stadium in central London for 30mill, which you cant, not much point if there isnt a club to play in it!

I agree, I don't expect SL to be as big as the NRL even on a per capita basis. But I think if you are already up against it with EPL in your country, it's even more critical that the game is extremely well run and everyone is rowing in the same direction. Even with the EPL, RL could be so much bigger in England simply by running the game better. IMG have had some good ideas and the Ashes and Vegas certainly help.
IMG and grading is finally dragging clubs upwards. Stick with it. Lets get clubs that actually have fanbases built into stronger ones, with that will come tv deals then we can think about expansion risks. As it is the current clubs are not sustainable. Reminds me of NRL in the early 2000's when a number of clubs were on the brink. It took 20 years to get it to a position of strength where they could finally look to expand. We are in a brave new world of sports consumption, hopefully we dont do something stupid like over extend or ditch IMG.

New river stadium which I’ve been too

Apparently same street at Tottenham’s old ground

Land zoned for sports facilities is cheap since you can’t put housing on it

And fill what ground ?

Their crowds are 3k lol

London fans have been complaining for over a decade how Hughes was wasting his money on the wrong things

Maybe you could spend time on English forums

Under Richard Lewis their game was humming

Les Catalans had immunity from relegation, they gave Celtic crusaders a go and Sheffield or Doncaster were looking at super league

When he left it’s just gotten steadily worse

At an athletics stadium with one stand? lol
Sure if they have zero ambition of getting graded high enough to play in SL again then it'd make sense to move to an amateur ground.

English clubs want to now ignore the img criteria and not admit toulose

Told you get temporary scaffolding to start off with

I know you’ve got no idea but most of the stoop is actually scaffolding type stands

Cheap way to get to 10k

That has not been decided, either of them.
There’s huge opposition to toulose whether it’s 12 or 14 teams even though they’ve played by the rules created by img

It looks like 14 down the track but 3 clubs won’t get much funding with the money taken from Catalans grant

Nobody does expansion like you guys that’s for sure

haha great idea genius. An athletics stadium with some temp stands 25min walk from a train stop.
That'll boost their IMG grading.

There's opposition to them getting Tv funding. Not to them being admitted.
