Despite not much to be happy about currently always a great episode Kempy and Mark do a great job as does Cody with his weekly short stats segment! If you live and breathe Souths you’ll enjoy these podcasts.

Correct. Yet their site still focuses on this pathetic social type programmes whilst the football aspect has COLLAPSED!! The prognosis is sickening, they are very likely to go 0-13 in their final 4 months of misery which makes pre-season virtually impossible under the present Status-Quo. Which player will actually listen to ANY Coach who finished the season 0-13? This is far worse than the prior two seasons and should lead to mass retrenchements. In short, the place needs a total clean out and a new Head man. I can only think of one: Sam B.

At this rate, why is this lot not Odds-On to finish last and go 0-13? In my opinion, the place has become far too COMFORTABLE, little ACCOUNTABILITY for the months of losing, little urgency and this includes the Coach. Endless excuses and giggles when interviewed whilst fans suffer badly. The club has reached a bottomless pit with zero sunshine throught the entire club.
How on earth can the Status-Quo remain throughout the off-season, when absolutely NO PLAYER will listen to The Legend Coach any longer?

Let’s hope the boys dig in and dig deep! Just a short preview this week I’ve lost a relative in the last 48 hours and have been grieving. Can’t say I’m looking forward to Souths playing tonight either.

But you know what my Souths faithful and my Souths Family in these times is where stick together and pray a miraculous win mightn’t be too far away! But what we will do is SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WE STICK TOGETHER CMON BOYS SHOW SOME SPIRIT AMD HOW MUCH THIS JERSEY MEANS TO YOU TONIGHT! GLORY GLORY LETS GO RABBITOHS!!!

What a diabolical kicking game !!

Humpheys with powder puff bombs and Wighton boots a grubbed 20 rows back.

Penrith contest their bombs and score !!

Just the basics

And a good lot of the so-called fit players are performing like they're carrying injuries !!AJ ;ATM,is the best of a horrendous bunch--anyway we won't leave the 2025 season empty handed--it seems we are favourites to take out the inaugaral "MOST INJURY PRONE CLUB " award !! Also they say;we're in with a chance to win the WOODEN SPOON !!!

These days the players only engage in this "CRAPPY SHIT" of a game for the money--"Take the ball up for 5 tackles---& guess what's next--oh yeah, kick the ball as high & long as possible ---oh yeah, chase the ball as fast as you can"--then give the ball to the other team to do exactly the same thing--then on & on ad nauseum for the next 78 mins---this is NOT RUGBY LEAGUE--it's RUGBY CRAP !!And Sths are playing this game[game ?????] very, very badly !!

Club needs to find a SPARK. Accordingly, The Loft advocates the following:
First get BIGGER up front. This means promoting S. Mitchell and T. Fletcher. The pack for example goes such;
S. Mitchell - PM/Havili -KK - Fletcher - Arrow - Hubner/Aiken: Banc: LeBlanc Keppie Tatola Dodd. NB: I assume Duncan is still playing @ centre.
For the backline, if Gray and Mitchell are still MIA then try Munroe at FB, leave Alex on the flanc to break history this season.
The Legend's pack philosophy of small and mobile has failed, it does not scare opponents. Bigger will.
Honestly the continued selections are teeth grinding. Most opponents are giggling, knowing that by mid-half their pack will be stomping on our jockeys and hence they will be up 18 or more. Bigger men will at least slow that timetable.

The Loft notes these fast facts:
1. Schedule. Our lads have one of the TOUGHEST Schedules with almost 75% of contests contra play-off squads. Times 2 v Redcliffe, Bellamy, Cleary, Easts, Cronulla, Maguire and Gould. That is FOURTEEN games v those in Top 4 OR vying for Top 4. Brutal to say the least especially when trying to compete with even back-ups injured.
Combined with singles contra Manly, Canberra and NZ W that leaves absolutely minimal scope for success especially fielding a patchy side. Again, that is virtually 75% against play-off and dominant clubs. Someone in the Hierachy is firmly against us!
2. Compare to say Penrith. Twice v Parramata, Balmain Gypsies, SS, NQ, Newcastle add in GC et al and for a dominant side they have a relatively EASY Schedule! That is almost HALF Cleary's Schedule is contra IRRELEVANT going nowhere sides!! Cleary has ELEVEN relatively easy contests, whilst we have about 5! This is the exact opposite of what proper Scheduling looks like and what the NFL does.!!
3. I highlight the critical mid-season in particular when a squad can suddenly emerge. Well here, The Schedule really helps. Penrith were at the bottom early June then they ran into: Parramatta x2, SS, Balmain Gypsies x2 , GC, Gould, Newcastle x2, NZW and Boom! That is, EIGHT OF THEIR TEN mid-season games were contra NO-HOPER sides!! Surprisingly, they suddenly got confidence back and then go on a streak. Bravo NRL Hierarchy Bravo said Cleary!!
By contrast we have confronted for TWO MONTHS: NZW, Canberra, Gould, Bellamy, Manly at their Grog House and Cleary then Cronulla!!
With a patched up squad we have had little chance to RECOVER to Regain Confidence with that Schedule. Cleary has had it easy by comparison, gifted to allow them a confidnce re-gain whilst our lot are given barbed wire to eat!
