Sharks
Manly
Dolphins
Rorters

Our draw gets us there.

Other 3 all play each other and have some bludgers of games against top 4 sides.

Warriors and broncs draws means they wont drop too many points. Metcalf gone has a say in this for NZ but dont think we can make up the 4 points.
And Pennies play a few top 4 sides but thats more a threat for those teams than the Panthers at this end of the season.
So...we prob take 7 and play away to one of those 3.

Prob prefer Pennies.
For a numer of reasons including no flight. And no home ground for them.

...interestingly, if the Galvin experiment doesn't work as well as they think and they drop one or 2, Doggies end the season with away to Storm, Penrith - and - Sharks.
They may be the side under most threat of being leapfrogged by us into 6th for home final.

All depending on us winning the games we should of course.

Only teams in contention that have a bye are us, Redcliffe and Canberra.
That's a little bit handy at this point.
I said in another thread that I think we'll jag 5th spot, I'll stick to it.

They have an opportunity to fly into the semi’s if they are half serious. They could and probably should potentially not drop another game. Probably means we’ll be playing the dogs in round 27 for 8th spot.

If we win every game we’ll be well above 8th.. I don’t get your maths

Probably best to use this thread instead of starting another.
I'm a shocker when it comes to other games after a Sharks loss, I just will not watch any game, show, anything for the week.
BUT if the Sharks win I watch everything, games, shows etc.

I worked this arvo/toight so watched todays games when I got home.
Wash Ups:
Both the Dargons and Sea Eagles are peaking now because their seasons are on the line.
One saw their season still alive, the other saw Death Knocking.

I hate the Bulldogs. They are the only team I genuinely hate. I get it that some hate the Dargons or Manly, I understand where that comes from, but the day THEY BROKE SLUDGES JAW was the day I started my hate.
In saying that, my favourite non-Sharks player for the the last while was Victor, until Critta.
I'd sell anything to have Critta in our side and being the Captain.

The Storm? Forgeddaboudit. They don't care that they lost. They'll rectify and adapt.
The Raiders? Scare the bugger out of me. No pressure, no exposure, playing like there is no tomorrow.

Pennies? Just being there means they will seek to destroy.

Up the Wahs? Not this year.

We should beat souths
We should beat the cowboys at home
We should beat the dragons
We should beat the titans at home
Bye
We should beat the Knights at home
We should be in it up to our eye balls vs the dogs. Dogs have a huge turn around compared to us.

We probably drop 2 games though. The good thing is we have Knights, Titans, Dragons and cowboys during the day. Suits the style we wanna play. After next weeks 90 minute drive the longest trip we have is to homebush.

If we are genuinely over the mid-season slump we have by far the best draw heading into the semis of the top 8 probably with the exception of the Raiders who have a similar draw and a bye to come as well. If we were to manage to win all remaining games or even 6 out of 7 we’d be in 5th spot at worst. Early prediction…. Final round v Dogs will be for 4th spot. Games v Goons and Dogs will be the toughest imo. This is all on the basis that we’ve turned the corner and will put some of these busted sides like bunnies and knights to the sword. Not much will change position wise for the next few weeks for us but the draw for the last few weeks for the top 4 (atm) is interesting. Storm have the worst draw of the lot. They play Broncos twice… Penrith…. Dogs…Raiders and Dolphins.

2 results yesterday we prob didn't want.
Manly winning keep them in the picture and jumped us.
Theyre peaking at right time.
Turbo keeping fresh in the centres.
DCE leaving.
Halaukuatu to return.

Dogs winning in last minute.
I reckon Doggies a good chance of free-falling. They've peaked and are now just winning against teams out of the 8.
They wont beat storm nor pennies in last 3 rounds.

We dont want to play broncs first week in brisbane.
We dont want to fly to Auckland.
We dont want away to brookvale.
The doggies will bash us and we'll embarrass ourselves.
I reckon our best result - providing we even make it - is pennies at whatever their new home ground is.

Dogs could also be on a Sharks 2016 type trajectory.

Sharks 2016
Round 21 - draw
Round 22 - loss
Round 23 - loss
Round 24 - loss
Round 25 - win
Round 26 - loss
Qual - win
Prelim - win
GF - win

Too early to redline the putrid 'Dogs for me unfortuntely

The other team I worry about is the Dolphins. Full strength will take them into the GF. But really it’s all about injuries for all top 8 teams.
