Well first off we have had 2 byes in those 10 weeks so it's 5-5 in the last 10 games in regards to playing teams above us which given we are exactly in the middle on the ladder, it would be the expected result.

I'm talking about Penrith's last 11 games, not 11 weeks and the heavy dose of bottom 6 teams in that timeframe. You will have to excuse me for doing so in a Penrith gameday thread.
You're more than welcome in any Penrith thread, nice to see neutral fans soaking in and appreciating the greatest side of all time.

I don't think Penrith will have any problem surviving Melbourne's early onslaught. I mean, even we survived and were all over them (outside of failing to capitalise) from the 10th-20th minute before the intercept of hamstring death.

Melbourne's ball movement and quick ptbs (often before being called held) is impressive. Hughes obviously a huge out, if Yeo doesn't play that evens it up.

We won the corresponding game last season before Panthers got us in finals. We’ve not lost to them in regular season for a couple of years now but I sense that will change on Thursday.

If we’re able to compete and keep the game close I’ll be relatively happy.

The Storm can’t beat the Panthers in the big games that matter and coach Bellamy knows it. From what I’ve seen this year the Storm are absolutely no hope of winning the comp , with or without Hughes. Nothing more than a solid training run for the Panthers .

Jeez if a squad that looks like either of those eventually wins the comp, then we definitely know we're living in the weakest RL era.

Tbh our squad is completely cooked this week. Will take a humble loss, but I don’t think this will tell us a whole heap come finals.

Only that you can't beat an understrength Storm side.
Craig was shitting himself in round 3 as Jack Cole and rookie Blazie Talagi pushed you right till the end.
He 100% knows your best doesn't beat our best.

Bellamy has botched his last two biggest games against Penrith.

In the 2021 prelim he with Nicho and Grant on the bench leaving them with one interchange middle when Welch went off.

In the GF last year the Storm had no attacking ideas outside of bombing to the wingers which Penrith defended easily. He played Grant for eighty minutes which allowed Penrith to exhaust him.

Will be a cracking match regardless of the personnel out.

Penrith v Storm has been a classic match up since 2020. Both teams will be taking this one seriously.

Ivan getting in early to make sure Penrith are not disadvantaged like lower ranked teams.

Can't tackle Coates in the air.

I'd just go for blockers. Sooner or later he gets a jump in and its no contest. So cop the penalty. Better than a penalty try.
