Why buy Radley. He is 1 concussion away from retirement. Keep him away from our young players. I know Val has worked out but they are 2 different people.
Cook needs to hang-up the boots and retire.I think Cook would be that unofficial 2nd lock (realistically with the players we have currently he will play there a fair bit next season), but yes we do need someone else in the squad that can play lock. I wonder if either Toby/Ryan will get reps there in pre season.
So OT, seriously, what do you suggest?Heaven forbid that is our option to cover lock moving forward.
Several variations of it were tried this year and it was ugly.
There would be a difference between trying it with our full strength side than out of absolute necessity imoHeaven forbid that is our option to cover lock moving forward.

Our full strength side lolThere would be a difference between trying it with our full strength side than out of absolute necessity imo
Regardless of whether you and others deem our pack to be shit (we’re definitely missing a big dog prop), there’s still a big difference between the pack we had in the last few weeks of the season to what we would be with everyone fit.Our full strength side lol
Our roster is deemed shit by many and we are - JDB + Kerr so = at absolute best.
We make sfa metres out of our own end now so Cook will only make that worse.
Big prop required and release Sele to bench for coverage at lock and prop depending on the size of the motor of the big boppa we get.
We have a new half coming in DA why would we saddle him with an even less imposing pack and a ageing lightweight would be lock.
Agree Radley is a handy player, but I don't know that he fits the cultural change and mentoring role required to guide the young up and comers at the Dragons. If we did get Radley, we would still be chasing a bigger bodied prop.. and then there is Klemmer too.. dunno the answer, but Radley is only 27.5yrs of age.. definitely improves our chances, and we cant be expecting Stewart to do massive minutes every round, need to protect him for a bit longer yet.
Bandaid stuff and adds nothing.Regardless of whether you and others deem our pack to be shit (we’re definitely missing a big dog prop), there’s still a big difference between the pack we had in the last few weeks of the season to what we would be with everyone fit.
Cook wouldn’t be our full time 13, potentially only for 15/20 minute stints
I would rather Stewart and an understudy junior lock. I also think that R Couchman could fill that role if Stewart is injured.Got the same mentality as JDB so would be a like for like replacement
Head knocks & sin bins are an issue tho.
Imagine the amount of penalties this bloke would give away wearing a Dragons jersey.
Interesting!Have heard we are waiting to see how things pan out in relation to Radley.
We are definitely interested
Will be interesting then to see who will do his 40 plus tackles per game .Cook needs to hang-up the boots and retire.
Was sent this today & sent it through to journo who replied back to say we are waiting to see how things pan out which tells me there could be some truth to it.
Telegraph were reporting earlier that Radley could end up going to the English Super League.Staying a Rooster by the looks of it now
