I sold all my vinyls three years ago. DSOTM was one of them. I preferred the cash option rather than having my sons consider them as frizbees.

I gave all mine away to a good mate i reconnected with recently , about 40 of them

He has a collection of 3000+, started early high school. Was telling me his wife made he tone down a bit when he got married lol

Funnily enough there was quite a few albums of Bruce Springsteen, Abba, INXS, The Angels and Prince etc...that he didnt own, so was very greatfull I gave them to him...

what's the point in keeping them when there is nothing to play them on ? you cant exactly play them in your car

You play them on a turntable.

Personally I like vinyl, there's a warmth that you just don't get with digital, but yeah it's not as easy as just connecting your phone.

I also reckon there was something kinda special in opening up a record sleeve and checking it out for the first time, I guess it's a bit nostalgic, but it was part of the whole experience back when.

That’s a huge mischaracterisation of why people are pissed off. Kimmel is being censored because the FCC (a government organisation) pressured the ABC to remove him because he made unfavourable comments about Trump. It’s literally political oppression. How is the government censoring views that are critical of them a good thing? That’s literally fascism.

I haven’t changed my position. I said previously that people will have different views on what is hateful. I’m still saying that. Your example is the definition of hate speech. Some of the other stuff that Charlie said might be deemed offensive by some, and not offensive by others.


See above. I never said that some things shouldn’t. Extreme examples such as calling for an entire race to be eradicated is very clear hate speech.


Of course I understand the intent. I actually support diversity in the work place and think that there are a lot of things you can do to ensure that you have an inclusive recruitment process. My only real issue is quotas as I think it can drive perverse outcomes.


If only you would be intellectually honest enough to acknowledge that I never claimed that nothing should be universally condemned.
