If we can get Radley we will.. he might not be willing to even play with another NRL club yet.. and if he retires from concussion so be it.. he's off the cap again.. in the meantime even if he needs weeks off from time to time.. it would allow us to increase Stewarts minutes in between...

We obviously wont expect another injury run like 2025.. but its almost a given we will have plenty more of them in 2026, esp these young middles... their bodies aren't hardened for 27 rounds of NRL intensity.

We should not worry about anything except a marquee prop right now. Top grade, no regular props thank you.

We don't have a half back . Hunt cried and moaned enough to finally get out , took his bat and ball and fckd off good best thing to happen in a decade . Ilias was brought in , lucky to be a reserve grade at best . Then it was here's ya brick Kyle jump in the deep end and swim . LKT played injured for month's and probably should have stayed in KOE cup . Glover should have come thru to first's instead of LKT and played half . Then we could have kept Kyle at 5/8 . It would have given LKT more time to learn his trade he wasn't ready for first's , still isn't . Our defense just stands and wait's ,no line speed other team rolls down field . Then everyone is tired from that and trying to battle to get out of our end ,No big meter eating forwards . Moses Suli was pretty much the only one we had constantly getting good return meters , he must have been absolutely flogged after every game he played . So due to all this we we're constantly kicking out of our own end with kicker's that didn't have a big boot causing us to constantly lose the force em back challenge . My thoughts are sack the defense coach or change tactics at least . For '26 Atkinson to half , Kyle to 5/8 , LKT to KOE cup as 5/8 to partner Reed as half so they can gel together , Liddle to 9 , Cook to 14 . For '27 It would be a 3 way battle on form between Atkinson , Reed and LKT for halves . Kyle to 14 , Liddle still 9 and cook to retire .

You make a lot of sense mate, do you think LKT was promoted ahead of Glover as he was about to sign with Newcastle & they had to bribe him to stay?

I have always rated Glover and seems that Bennett does as well. The halves pairing for 2025 should have bee Glover and LKT. We should not have recruited Cook and if we did not, it would have been Kyle at 14 which is his best position.

So, 2026 would have been Glover with a contest between LKT and Atdinson for the five-eighth position. In 2027, we would have begun to see Reed come into the halfback spot opn a regular basis.

It would have been nice to recruit DCE on a two-year deal (2026-2027) to develop our young halves.

LKT doesn’t seem to compare to other halves that are coming through. Across his 17 games, 9 try assists. 6 line breaks and 6 line break assists. [source: https://tryline.com.au/players/1334/lyhkan-king-togia]

Isaiya Katia, age 21. Also only 2 tries, but 22 try assists across his 24 games. running 106 metres on average [62 for LKT]

Galvan, age 20, played in 23 games, 4 tries, 11 try assists, 105 running metres.

I know the other teams forwards are setting a better platform, but have we seen enough? Showing some signs but not giving me lots to anticipate him being a game manager, try scorer or able to set up tries for others.

It may be that he has been playing 1st grade when he needed to be learning and developing in reserve grade.

I thought he was pretty good with us as well. Ran some good lines & showed he had some ability. Put him in a team with strong forwards & few years older & more experienced & bang.
They say Rome wasn't built in a day.
Burns & also Ford are prime examples of players who showed promise but we did not have patience. We let them go & replaced them with???
