I don't know how Storm fans cope. Grand Finals every 2nd season on average. Flights, hotels, tickets etc.

Seems to be how things have been all year, we didn't look near our best but still got the win. Think the panthers will cook us next week, broncos feel like a better matchup for us.

For sure they'll all be there and probably for the next few years. There are other teams on the rise though who could pose a threat. Roosters, dolphins, raiders, warriors for example. Next year is shaping up to be very competitive IMO.

I honestly don't know what the NRL powerbrokers are watching. Worst referee in the game and I think most fans from every single team feel this way about him. Yet he continues to get all the big games. He sucks. Probably deserves some sort of serious campaign from the fans in the off season to totally spam the NRL with complaints.

How universally loathed he is among fans tells me there’s something fishy about why they keep him there. No fan sees consistency in his calls.

NRLHQ must like how he can find yardage penalties to get more attacking sets or find innocuous ruck penalties to flip momentum to manage games to be tight.

See the Origin series. QLD tidily lose the penalty count in the first game and lose - then there’s a massive overcorrection with a GLUT of penalties to QLD in Game II. QLD win to keep the series alive.

Game III was almost done and dusted at half time then Klein finds some ridiculous interpretations to keep NSW in the game:
- Latrell flopping out of the field of play like a fish being play on;
- Dummy half passing at a player in the ruck which hasn’t been a penalty for 5+ year was awarded to gift NSW field position.

That Cowards 2 in the second half decided the game. The Sharks played like they were scared the whole game.

Klein's problem is he just blew penalties. Most of them I thought were justified. He should have considered using the bin to show the players he meant business, but didn't so the rubbish in the rucks (e.g. holding down) persisted. This cane be a culmination of the carry on when a player team goes down a player - everyone and its dog complains, which can make officials gun shy.

That said I thought Melbourne were the better team. Cronulla's forwards didn't get over the top of the Storm's and the Storm's big name players produced in the moments that mattered. Big shout out to the Storm's centres, Howarth and Meaney, they had a big impact on the result. They completely outplayed Ramien and Iro in my opinion. Mulitaio I thought was a bit MIA for a lot of the game.
