Is Pezet really that good? I read a stat the other day he has played like 18 games in 3 years. Wishart seems to be the storms impact/backup half player. After he played a good game against the dogs he was dropped for the prelim.

What I like about Pezet is he can easily take over as 7 when Moses is unavailable or when he retires. It’s a great succession plan plus he has possibly the best kicking game of all the upcoming halves and can play both sides meaning he’d be a good left side 6. Can tackle too.

He has been Injured a lot over the last few years.
His passing game needs work.
Thought he did kick well and started to take control.

He was dropped for Hughes so it's not like he was dropped for a nuffy..

He also is a better half then Wishart.

Won't be easy and its not ideal will be a short term setback.

I would be targeting Jesse Arthurs from Brisbane who isn't in the GF side.

But i don't think the place will fall apart if he does go either.

I have more faith in the coach we have to get the roster and players he wants and a game plan to be successful.

We have lost rep players before defected for various reasons

When Hayne left to the NFL everyone was struggling to see how we would win a game.

When in essence it made us build a more all-round roster.

Jamie Lyon when he walked out we replaced him a year later with Timana Tahu won the minor premiership.

Kieran Foran left after 9 games on a 4.8mill deal and 12 months later we got Mitchell Moses & made the top 4.

When Canberra lost Jack Wighton everyone thought oh no but really it allowed them to unearth Ethan Strange and they actually got better

If i was ranking our 2 most important players we can't afford to lose right now it would be
1 - Moses
2 - Iongi

Also i would be locking up JAC for another 2-3 years the moment Lomax says he is outta here.

My point was more with people just shitting on Lomax over a rumour yet completely ignoring the value he provided. Jesse Arthur’s isn’t rucking you out 200m in hard yards. Nor is JAC

Apparently the offer is USD$1.5m a season. I’d be going too.

Be utterly mad not to (give or take holding your nose about where the money is coming from).

But that sort of money seems a more existential threat than Super League ever was, if this competition is going to go hard at elite NRL players. Having said that, I do still feel a bit like I’ll believe it when I see it - it seems like it’ll be a logistical nightmare and probably a money sink because who is going to give a f**k about the competition?
