Mate, your shooting blanks on this one.I feel for ya. No hope or prospect of any improvement at Cronulla. Gotta be a grim feeling! Hey at least you've got that Rory Colqhuon guy
Honestly Ilias is that bad. Worse than Kyle but mostly just a different flavour of shit.He is. Utter garbage. Talk him up all you like. Just kidding yourself.
yes Sharks were shit that day. Still who made a prelim and where was Junior? Holidays?
until daddy moves him to 14 and has decent half to play alongside Atkinson, you can expect the same shit.
BTW I actually want you to do better
Yeah probably correctHonestly Ilias is that bad. Worse than Kyle but mostly just a different flavour of shit.
Kyle is reallllly bad too though.
Another meek finals exit is likely why Fitzy was having lunch with DcEI remember that a few months before the Sharks suffered yet another meek finals capitulation and learnt the uncomfortable truth that a "good" season is the absolute peak of their team's capabilities, Flanno junior schooled them too. Must be pretty shit.
they do need a halfbackAnother meek finals exit is likely why Fitzy was having lunch with DcE
But they have nicho !!!they do need a halfback
I was at CommBank to watch the KOE grand final on Sunday with a few Dragons (7) mates, hoping for some Red V joy in 2025.Honestly Ilias is that bad. Worse than Kyle but mostly just a different flavour of shit.

Thank Cook for signing IliasI was at CommBank to watch the KOE grand final on Sunday with a few Dragons (7) mates, hoping for some Red V joy in 2025.
We knew Ilias was shit, but what he produced was diarrhea, useless kicking game, mumbles and fumbles, no real running game, stupid sin bin which cost us big time and probably the game. The kid is no where near NRL standard and T Boyd pretty much controlled and won that game for the Warriors.
Glover was actually a bit better than Ilias in my opinion, but not by much.
I agree Kyle is pretty bad, but after watching that game we all realised why he was dropped and remained in KOE for the remainder of the season. If Kyle and K Togia were in that side, we win that GF despite missing Loko and Halangahu which was a contributing factor, Cake Lawrie was out of his depth even in KOE, we all agreed unanimously.
I think Ilias would do OK in Super League, but not a standout.
Still boggles me why we would sign a St Bennie reject? We all know what happened with Lewis Dodd who was signed prior to Bennett!! Back to the Super League for Dodd and I think he should hold Ilias's hand all the way there for 2026.
X2 ...........Thank
Thank Cook for signing Ilias
100% mate, has been this way all season for Ilias.. just nobody watches cup and the side was winning off the back of their forward pack and Glover/Ramsey.. and with Braith carrying on.. the narrative was just assumed that Ilias must be braining it.We knew Ilias was shit, but what he produced was diarrhea, useless kicking game, mumbles and fumbles, no real running game, stupid sin bin which cost us big time and probably the game. I have Flanagan over Elias, his goal kicking is another reason.100% mate, has been this way all season for Ilias.. just nobody watches cup and the side was winning off the back of their forward pack and Glover/Ramsey.. and with Braith carrying on.. the narrative was just assumed that Ilias must be braining it.
Ilias is basically just rolling the roulette wheel for every decision, I dont think its his footy IQ.. I think hes just too slow now to get into position and/or be a running threat.. and so his decisions usually ends in a poor/fumbled pass or an ordinary kick... all except for one 10 minute period against Penrith (Round 25) where the decisions all lined up trumps and he won the game with 2 tries and a fieldgoal.. that was his big moment.. but that was his only moment.
An argument for Glover playing first grade 7 though sure.. but I do get that a completely rookie 7 whos leaving anyway.. its unlikely that hes going to win us first grade games, esp as his defence isnt great... but 2026 is another story... no excuses, we have time to sort out the roster.
I'm hoping for a DCE/Atkinson halves combination in 2026.I have Flanagan over Elias, his goal kicking is another reason.
If Atkinson can't play 7 and I don't think LKT is a 7 guess who will be 7 next year.
After 2025 Kyle playing halfback there is a big possibility he could be playing half again in 26.
Current NRL players must have rocks in their heads if they are offered and pass up R360 contracts. The Economics are so compelling - they are a NO Brainer.
Lets take Zac Lomax for example. He is on $650K at Parra which equates to $374K after tax.
Now imagine he is offered US$2M per season by R360. That's A$3.03M (tax free) or 8 yes 8 times his current after tax salary.
Think about it - he plays from Oct - Dec 2026 for the same money that he will earn from playing NRL from 2026 - 2033.
Zac Highmax !
Imagine what Reece Walsh and his social media impact is worth to R360. Easily US$5M or (A$7.6M) per season.
BTW - why ain't our beloved in-house journos reporting about the enormous wealth available to the players through R360. All they are doing is criticising any player who intends to break a contract.
* Disclaimer - i have no connection with R360 however if the principals of that organisation are reading this - every man has a price and i am negotiable![]()
Having watched Tanah Boyds' kicking masterclass against last Sunday in the KOE GF, he has gone up in my estimation. The Warriors have three pretty good half backs in Luke Metcalf, Boyd and Jett Cleary on various types of deals- while Metcalf is numero uno in my book, either of the other two would be better than anything we've currently got and may start agitating for a shot at NRL elsewhere.I'm hoping for a DCE/Atkinson halves combination in 2026.
Anasta won't touch us with a barge poleNot one rumour connecting Dragons with Pezet...
Anasta basically put a line through us weeks ago. Zero chanceNot one rumour connecting Dragons with Pezet...
