Yeah I think Jaemon was actually quite underrated by our set up and even us fans. We all assumed that a fit Jack Cole would take his place and easily surpass him.

But something tells me that Stinkfinger is talking about Tyrone May....

Salmon was awful in the Panthers set up.

At Penrith he didn't have the bulk to be in the forwards or speed to play in the backs.

He was ok in the halves.

He's done well at the Dogs after putting on some kgs.

I shudder to think what Walsh and Mam would have done to him if Garner hadn't been preferred as utility forward/back in the 2023 GF.

Walker and Latrell carved him up in five minutes at right centre the same season.

I'm not sure if Tyrone is a worse player or human? But I'm stoked the whole family was punted

I have never seen the video, so cannot judge 100% but I am not so harsh on the moral value (or lack thereof) of the May brothers.

At the time we wished that we had someone better, but the fact is that out of all our utility bench players, he was probably our best in the Dynasty period. He was definitely the most versatile though Ivan made the mistake of overestimating his ability to cover centre.

People forget that he was the one who was destined to partner Nathan at 5/8 until the ACL injury ruined him. Before that he was widely regarded as the most talented young back we produced in over a decade.

He did have some shockers in the 20-21 period (Primarily at #7 trying to emulate Nathan) but he also had some games where when attacking in the opposition 20, he'd be injected into play as a fullback, and he pulled off some spectacular passes and plays that Dyl could only ever dream of.

me personally - i think the Pink jersey should always be our Away jersey - there's enough history played in that Jersey (winning 2024 and losing last week as recent examples) - that jersey has character within Penrith history/lore. I didnt like the jersey but now im glad the club persisted.

its a perfect clash jersey and when you think of a Pink jersey in the NRL - its always referencing the Penrith Panthers :)

2026, 60 year Anniversary , is it time to retire the Pink away Jersey ?
Women love the pink jersey and I’ve seen lots of blokes wearing it too. It’s almost become a trademark of Panthers in sport generally.

While not 100% sold on it myself, we stand alone in wearing pink regularly, not just special occasions (crickets pink test for example).

I reckon we keep it. Why upset 51% of the population?

Not going to pretend I'm a fan of bright pink as a colour. Its not a huge issue, but I'd much prefer our white strip and reckon it would have been better to establish that as our long term alternate colours. We might be stuck with it now we've won a premiership with it though.

More than half the teams in the comp wear white at stages.
We finally have colours and a brand if anyone within the club ever suggests changing that they should be sacked on the spot.

White is boring and generic. Our pink jerseys should be here to stay for the rest of time. I just miss oak being in the front of the jersey that was iconic

I like the white but the pink jersey is very unique. Its ours and ours only. I think its here to stay.

The Pink Panther thing works too. I'm sure its been a consistent marketing hit for us.

I reckon we've finally cemented our brand and identity (including the pink). We need to stick with it.

Having said that, I think we missed an opportunity during our Oak days to have a 3 jersey rotation of brown, pink and white to match their milk flavours.

Totally agree with that.

Remember when they banned the Oak fridge in the press conferences? Hilarious.

2026 will be interesting given we have largely purged our NSW Cup side from this season.

So the NSW Cup side in 2026 will be largely made up from this seasons Jersey Flegg and other juniors. A few low key signings from other sides have already taken place and I would expect there will be more second tier signings to follow.

Definately a question mark. I like the signings we've made but bit of guesswork on how the next crop go. We have to wait and see.

On Brian To'o.

Still an absolute beast. But I'm not sure that elite finishing is still there. Maybe its his general fitness but I just think he is a bit older and will be morphing into a different player in that aspect.

3-4 in cover defence he used to eat for breakfast. Would use his agility or just brute force.

Not a real complaint. Rather just a reality check. His workload is huge and its his main attritbute that helps our team. If we get another 2025 performance from Brian plus more games played then we will go a long way towards a comp in 2026.
