Harsh… I think he’s busted his arse most games.

The Hail Mary 6th tackle options would be a strategy employed by the coach and the halfback, not just down solely to Lomax…

He’s never been a great goalkicker, people just have his 2024 Origin kicking where he was nailing them from everywhere engrained in their heads. I always thought Moses should have kept it.

Anyways it’s shit if he wants out and if it’s true then whatever we will move on he’s not bigger than the club.

I still think at 650k we still got decent value for money out of him and was excited to see him go around next year with an improved squad. I don’t think he will be as easily replaced as some people might think.
The Hail Mary strategy was already sussed out by other teams well before he laced up a boot for the Eels. Yet, we persisted with it. The execution was wrong along with the amount of times we used it.

If he ends up going to R360 then good for him. When dollars talk, players walk.

Lomax is a top 10 player in the NRL for post contact metres gained (9th overall in 2025). He would be a huge loss if he left.
There's parts of his game he's great at and others he hasn't mastered. He's also close to the slowest winger in the comp which is probably why he never wanted to play there to begin with.
If hes on your wing you get a bloke that will take tough carries every set and chase high balls like a mad man. You also get a slow winger who misses chances and makes poor decisions defensively. He's far from the finished product as a player .. he could really knuckle down over the next couple of years and become a better player but he seems to want to chase coin and look after his own lifestyle. Im not sure he appears to be someone who's motivated to master the finer points of his craft.. just enjoys competing and living.

I played against him in high school and he always carved my shitty team up.

I remember one game we had a ptb on their line and I stood far too flat at first receiver. He intercepted the pass from dummy half and ran 98 metres to score. Yes I chased him.

Did he score under the posts?

Kusto was very quick on his feet had a half decent kicking game but couldn't direct a team to save his life, just a bog average career back up 7.

I'm pretty sure he won us at least 1 game where he kicked a winning field goal but just can't remember who we played against.

My Eels friends and I loathed Kusto (actually more Smith for picking him) because we had a great reserve grade half either Casey McGuire or one of the Witts we could not believe was not getting picked ahead of him. Smith did love to have a tard or two in his teams (eg Herron, Penna).

Surprised no one has jumped onto the fact the shooter from this week has been posted everywhere in his Dogs jersey in the media.

It’s obviously no fault of the Dogs but I still enjoy seeing the Dogs being tied to anything haha
