Anyway, it’s been rumoured to have been a hatchet job from the beginning and if Bradford actually get in as club 12, it will only confirm that theory. I think there will be anger amongst fans of other clubs and I suspect we’ll see veiled threats of boycotting Bradford away.

Bradford and London don’t deserve to be in super league at the expense of Toulouse and York.

I’d say London dont. Bradford have one of the best academies in the country, finished 14th in performance over last 3 years and have a bigger fanbase than anyone in championship. Only the ground lets them down (finances we dont know situation with any potential club)

For all this song and dance, are we certain that Castleford and Huddersfield are "safe" under the grading points? On field particularly going to hurt Huddersfield, and I can't imagine finances etc are going that great either. Aren't they also ground sharing?

Last 2 years bulls have been profitable in a market were most are losing significant sums suggesting they have righted the ship.

It doesn’t suggest anything other than it’s a short-term positive position and they’re moving in the right direction. That alone isn’t enough to suggest they’re on a solid financial footing when their medium and long term financial history (10-15 years) has been horrific.

It’s typical short-termism from rugby league. “You’ve made a profit for two years? Come in lads” and “hey, remember when 20,000 watched Bradford 25 years ago?” is the sort of working mens club thinking that has us where we are.

Huddersfield slipping out of 12 along with Salford would be good but surely that would've been leaked too

For now, yes, they should be safe. The gap looks like narrowing, so any future IMG rankings will be sticky for the two unless they get their acts together.
