Reynolds is a good decent player but he was never taking Souths to a premiership. He was broken down for half the season and was pretty much non existent when Brisbane needed him. We made the right decision letting him go but we should've signed a halfback that was actually experienced rather than putting all our money into Illias. Brisbane actually played better footy without Reynolds on the field because he only brings a kicking game and can barely convert goals these days. Sorry I can’t agree it was the right decision not at all. You’re about the only one out of thousands I’ve spoken too to say so.

You missed my point I said without the try assist for Staggs last week and kicking that conversion late they don’t make the GF. That’s what I was talking about. We would’ve won more games for me if we had Reyno. You only punt him if you have someone better we didn’t have anyone better at all far from it. We ended our premiership window early punting him. Until we find a good 7 we won’t consistently compete with the top 6 sides.

Over last 4 seasons Reyno has played 78 games that’s more than Trell, Murray and Campbell so pretty good if you ask me.

Only brings a kicking game please look at the error he forced on Blaize Talagi in the prelim. Hes also had a strong hand in lots of try involvements and try assists and line break assists.

So I can’t agree with you at all. Very hard to find a quality 7 when you have one who is premiership winner and local junior and club captain at 30 years old you move heaven and earth to keep them. There are other issues but this started our demise

Agree with the point above that if you're getting rid of Reyno, it's a like-for-like replacement, not for a rookie or reggie-level HB.
Illias was under too much pressure to replace Reyno and we were still in our premiership window to rely on a rookie HB. He was in a lose-lose situation.
Reyno still offered a lot to Brisbane since he got there. Admittedly Brisbane only win the GF because his injury allowed the chaos of Reece Walsh to be let loose. But I think that they don't succeed overall without him (or an equivalent HB)

This guy looks like a solid young kid. Hopefully he picks up the league action fast and kicks on for us

Your living in the past. Souths had the opportunity to win in 2021 with Reynolds but he choked massively. He choked again this year but Reece Walsh was there to pick up the pieces when it mattered. Keeping Reynolds wouldn't have changed anything for Souths the past 4 years. Success is measured in premierships and Reynolds wasn't going to give us one. Maybe if we signed Reece Walsh..

This young centre Dayne Jennings looks like he will be a real keeper if we can lock him up and keep developing him. Will go a long way to replenishing our backline stock

Young upcoming half Nic Quinn has left Souths to join the dragons. Kid was being chased by quite a few teams

If it’s not Mitchell it’s Walker, if it’s not Walker it’s Munro.
All players that get paid the big bucks and are always injured.

South’s best off very “good” offers from roosters and titans to resign Tommy Fletcher.

I do not blame the missed kick in the 2021 GF on Reyno there was hundreds of things we could’ve done better that game could’ve should’ve it was not Reyno fault at all. I wouldn’t say he choked we weren’t even favoruites to be Penrith if we were that’s a choke. I wouldn’t say he choked again this year he contributed big time to get them that far and his leadership was crucial Walshy said that too without Reyno they couldn’t have done it. Storm pack rolled forward first half. Reyno was still solid that first half linking up with his outside men well and he kicked well and tackled well.

Regardless of premierships I want to win games we would’ve won more games with him here. We still haven’t got a 7 going into our 5th season without him and will struggle to make the top 6 til we find one. We have basically had no halfback since Reyno left it’s been a big issue.

Souths need to move Mitchell and Walker on and bring in some new younger and fitter players.

Both Mitchell and Walker are too injury prone and Mitchell is also too undisciplined.

NRL refused to compensate Souths injury funds for the Tass injury.
As much as this sucks I agree with it as it’s the hard stance needed to hopefully force nrl clubs to not allow their players to participate in these tournaments
