Tagos top 30 deal was arranged last year

Dev deal for 25 and top 30 the year after

Still dumb. But he didn’t get upgraded recently

so the deal could of been arranged when Ryles wasn't even at the club? that would probably make more sense given the numpties that were making decisions.

As stagger said it's dumb and lazy , broncos and dolphins have so many surplus 3/4 players and we can barely field a decent 3/4 and come mid season with injuries we'll be getting players from Asquith

That's because Gould built an amazing production line to replace the lost players, just like he's building at Canterbury.

Meanwhile our pathways took years to recover after Covid because we don't have any private funding. We are relying on the PLC to fund our program.
Very adhoc attempt at justification. Are you saying their team didn’t get weaker and was like for like with the replacements off the production line?

Do you even know what ad hoc means?

It started to decline in 2023, probably due to a lack of pathways funding a few years earlier (because NRL performance lags junior development by a number of years). Maintaining that level of junior scouting, poaching and retention requires significant funds, and the Packer money had to run out eventually. How long will we pump money into our own pathways? It’s been very impressive since 2023 but that might not last forever.

Ryles obviously prefers Samrani as an outside back, but he did pick both of them in first grade this year.

no, as I’ve mentioned several times before Samrani has been identified as an edge forward despite where he’s played in the past but Ryles doesn’t have a great deal of choice given the lack of options we underneath.

Currently we have no one really identified as NRL capable outside the 2 to 5 we expect selected in first grade, and maybe 1 or 2 of them would struggle to get a game In a top 4 side.
