Well, now that it's been established that the Storm tried to register Lomax as a Storm player on the NRL portal, it's fairly obvious what happened.

They don't seem to have learned anything from their 2009 debacle.

I assume there will be some rotation of those players.

I think some teams will make good use of it though the utility on the bench may become a thing of the past and you have dedicated halves and backs sitting there with 4 forwards

Taking everything into account at least what’s being speculated in the media, you’d think the NRL will step in and grant us some salary cap dispensation if we genuinely can’t fit him in. I can’t see how the Storm should benefit if it’s clear they’ve breached anti-tampering protocols. They’re a f**king disgrace.

I agree. But I just dont think it will happen. I think we will get screwed.
The NRL NEED Melbourne to stay strong.
As far as cap space I am sure we have plenty but how do they expect us to take him back after what he has done? And as if Lomax would want to come back anyhows.
My guess is the Storm was a back up plan well before he left for 360. Everyone knew that was a long shot of getting off the ground. Would anyone walk away from 700k based on it getting up and going with no back up option?
That's why I reckon we are being played/ stitched up. The Storm potentially set the whole thing up months ago and letting it play out like a game of chess.
