The only match up this season where Cody Walker won't be the oldest five-eighth on the park. New spine means Roosters have been working on their attack more than their defence - and it showed. Good time of year for the Bunnies to face them.

Just saying.

I feel like whoever gets the best out of C.Walker/Fifita attacking at DCE, and conversely S.Walker/Crichton attacking at Sullivan, will play a massive part in the result.

Another classic entry into the totally-not-a-marketing-stunt Book of Foods(tm)

Latrell and Cody to compete for the biggest merkin on ground and probably be the most interesting thing about the game.

merkins are very popular. Most people can't take their eyes off them.

If chooks concede less than 11 infringements and complete more than 8 sets in the first half they might find they have a chance to win.

Big if though.

Over a solid 10 to 15 years, I don't think I've ever seen a team drop the ball on the first or second tackle after scoring a try more than the Roosters

Our sets after tries on both sides of the ball are awful. We concede far too many penalties in the set after the opposition scores too.

The main thing I noticed about Easts in round 1 is that Sammy Walker and Teddy are the biggest whingers in the sport's history. I never thought the combination of Mitchy Moses and Nuffo would ever be topped but here we are, sooky pathetic little bitches and it shows why the Roosters aren't a serious footy side. Zero accountability from these merkins.

Crisis BBQ at Sobbo's joint if they lose this. Uncle Nick is precuring a very special gas bottle for the occasion.

I feel like with this match-up the winner tends to be the side that has the least focus on them in the leadup to the match. This week has been all Souths, AJ, records, Latrell/Fifita, DCE is shit, etc. Robbo would be loving it.

It's not footy season until I see James Tedesco frantically pull out his mouth guard mid-sentence while running over to the ref to complain about a decision.

Besides that let's see this try scoring record fall. It will be a great moment.

But when do you storm the field? Once for the try and then again after the bunker reviews and awards it?

Both Souths, the Roosters, the NRL, and Venues NSW have been telling people they do not want people storming the field. If you do, hope you enjoy a $5k fine and a 12 month ban from the stadium.
