Adding to that club is monitoring the Bronson Xerri situation but are coy as they want to wait and see if they can land a fullback to replace gutho.
Gutho will be moved to centre if a fullback is signed eg Bula

But if he got a release in 2026 and he could play for us most of this season at less than his $650k at warriors for 2026 ie he could join for half that as being paid since Nov 1 2025

RTS is well past his prime.
Surely we are looking for a much younger player to fill the custodian role in coming years.

It's a bit of a jigsaw rly, we've been after Drinkwater for donkeys years, the Cows should have let him go imo, they have Purdue, Chester and Barber as options.. then we would have had a completely different setup for 2026 with Gutho free to explore Ctr or 5/8.. if he goes to Ctr then Val goes to Wing.. and then we dont need to chase the gun winger we have been after...

I was thinking Xerri would be great because again Val to Wing, but I c the issue when our new fullback comes.. I also thought Gutho would end up at 5/8, but maybe Flanno has other ideas.. but the other variable is if we let Cook go... then Kyle takes his spot @ 14 and Gutho can play in the halves... its like a set of dominos.. and we need to sign 1 or 2 of those dominos before we can arrange the rest.

As for RTS, has anyone watched him lately? He will be 33.5yrs by next season.. I know its old but the guy is a pro.. I know he is playing in a very good squad that dominated the last 2 rounds... but 170m and 210m run metres in the 2 games, a try assist, a line break assist, 2 line breaks, goal-kicks.. covers fullback for injury.. there is a lot to like.. just a qn of how his body is holding up..

I know the storm wanted a goalkicking outside back, but I believe Roger only wants 'Sydney' and a 2yr contract I read somewhere.

Kyle and Shane will leave a massive stain on this club long after both are gone. Absolute jokes, Flanno was carried to a premiership after knowingly putting his players at risk in 2014. Kyle is one of the most overrated and bog average players ever to play the game and the nepotism is so blatant that it will leave such a stain we will struggle to recover from. We have a coach with no integrity who will always put Kyle first, he can do no wrong.

Val is on a massive contract, be should be made to play FB. Only reason he signed is because Shane gets along with him and got him a massive deal not one other club would even think of doing.
