Storm number is quite a bit higher than regular season sellouts of previous years which is great to see. I notice this year they have a ‘lease your seat’ option for members to resell their tickets if they can’t make it. I’m not 100% if that is new but don’t remember seeing it before.

They've had the ability for members to resell their seats for a couple of seasons at least. This is the first year there's been an active push for it and a clear incentive back to the members for doing so.

Goes a long way to explaining why last night's figure was as large as it was.

Great to see 28K crowds are back in the mix for big Storm games as we'd previously been capping out at 25-26K for sellouts. Hopefully their next two home (Warriors & ANZAC) can draw similar numbers.

During the coverage, they mentioned the jnr growth going thru the roof in Victoria. Anyone got a breakdown?
Club Player registrations:
2023: 4,582
2024: 5,545 (+21%)
2025: 6,188 (+12%)

Registrations are already trending ahead for 2026. Two new Junior clubs have been created in Melbourne in the form of the Points Creek Scorpions and Cranbourne Bulldogs (bringing the total to 22 in Melbourne).

Further Rugby League is growing in the school system. The Storm School Cup now has 9 schools committed versus 5 last year. The School is competition has 14 schools across North Melbourne committed for this year, plus there will be gala days, tag competitions and development officer visits to compliment this.

NRL Victoria have also launched their social programs in recent years which includes Harmony Cups, Emergency Services & Wheelchair rugby league.

For comparison, Parramatta district had around 5,600 registered club participants in 2025.

It has been in action for a couple of years now, but they pushed it considerably this week knowing the game was close to selling out.

Great crowd, 22k for a bludger time slot, great atmosphere but only one team turned up to play and it wasn't the home team.
We turned up for 15 minutes then dropped the heads once something went against us. Par for the course

Anyways, great crowd and we at least continue to kick goals off the field. Interesting to see if Parra can get more on Sunday..

There is a month break til the next roosters home fixture at SFS. Hopefully they can find some form to keep the enthusiasm for attending up.

Robinson is a poor coach. As that saying goes he was born on 3rd base but cannot get home.

Both hills are at capacity for today's game at McDonald Jones Stadium. Outside of the corners, there's not many seats in both the lower bowl & western grandstand.

Should be 20K+ comfortably.

Gosford has around 1,200 seats left. Vast majority in 5 corner bays.
Hopefully sales between now & then , & walk ups get Gosford to 20K
Newie low 20Ks
Shark Park ?... surely their fans will show & fill their tiny venue for what should be a very good game.

With all the talk about the poor timeslot, possible Transport disruptions and Penrith hard to travel, that crowd was at least 10,000 more than I expected. Great job.

Also great crowd at AAMI.

Allianz is in a great position for your cbd workers to make it. Plus a lot of people with their jobs have flexible Fridays so people can get around earlier. You’d just avoid Homebush, Suncorp and Parra at this stage for the slot.

Yeah didn’t quite realise it’s the entire upper Eastern grandstand that’s out for the season.

Nothing even went against you. Teddy should have got 20 in the bin, 10 for the professional foul following a line break, 10 for dropping Dylan on his baldy head. Still, that was the turning point. Roosters never in it after then.
