The front row position is now suited for a second row build, the days off the barrel chest forward is over as now there more like centres that have put on muscle.
Still believe Luciano would be a good current day front rower as he is too slow laterally in defence on the edge.
@possm has been banging on this for a while Luciano would be a great front rower. And move Halangahu on the edge

That's right, there making the ruck speed very quick, there trying to remove any wrestle, hand on the ball.
Six agains, teams find themselves defending multiple sets in a row. big guys can't keep up.
Soon they will put tags on them and make it a no contact sport.

I've been call for Leilua to be moved to the prop rotation for over a year. Once Egan and Halangahu are firmly in our 17, it makes good sense to move Leilua to the prop rotation.

I think a lot of us have been advocating this but obviously not as passionate as Pos ! Sticks out like dogs balls & may also reduce Lucianos missed tackle count. We got heaps of edge forwards But don’t think our coaching staff has a inovating bone in their body.

So now the NRL say creating a defensive wall in front of the kick receiver preventing a player from making a tackle or competing for the ball will be penalised.
The NRL have notified all teams.

Typical, after Parra did it 5 times to us, it should of always been an obstruction.
and we can all hazard a safe guess at which team (wearing a red V perhaps?) will be the first team penalised for this next round......

Just like I said the other day, they will clamp down after it happens to us.

Typical.

Bastards ! We , the Big Red Vee , have been the NRL’s whipping boys for far too long now and it just pusses me off !

They will allow other teams to get away Scott free with their constant foul play and illegal tactics week in - week out , but not the Dragons. Gawd there must be people who still harbour resentment for the Dragons 11 year run of successive premierships .:(

I thought that Jett Liu was a lot better than Webster as a prospect in recent years, but Webster has started this season really firing.. he is more of your Mick Weyman mould perhaps.. nothing fancy just runs hard all day.

Hutchinson is named on the extended NRL bench which is an indication of how his stocks have risen, especially with the prop void left after Latu and Liu departed.. and CST falling behind a bit too (was meant to be next).. I'm not sure what Hutcho's contract actually is though.. it must have been upgraded. Hutchinson though is a very different cat.. hes um like a 2nd rower playing in the middle or something? Like he has a curved run, he doesnt try to run it into the teeth like Webster would.. he looks for better targets to hit and is like an attacking prop if u will.. but he is sort of built like the couchmen were at his age.. hes slim and above average height..

Hutch plays and moves a a bit like Patrick Carrigan but a smaller version

maybe 186cm and 100kg ?

if Egan is 98kg and TCouchman is 102kg that would be best guess for Hutch.

runs quite high striding and upright and works really hard in defence

rugged and likes first contact

Will be interesting to watch his 2026 as he is a goer and the speed of the game seems to be conducive to the agile middles

agree Rev that Webster has jumped ahead with the extra year on NSW Cup and a pre season he has started hard in NSW Cup and could help off the bench if required in 2026

not sure on his trajectory but serviceable

he averaged 161m running per game to start NSW CUP and 37 tackles per game

not bad at all

turns 23yrs of age in April this year
