You blew a belated birthday load in there somewhere for sure. I'd say somewhere in that last paragraph.Wouldn’t it! Have a look back at how embarrassingly I used to bang on about getting him. The bloke is an absolute stud and if he came back to someone other than the Chooks, I can’t bear to get my hopes up it would be us.
If he came a a centre??? Wow.
Not to be brutal, but if we signed him and he is the best player in our club to play fullback, then fullback he shall play!I believe from a few things I’ve heard he’ll only come back of the NRL for a fullback spot - which likely precluded him from us, but I’d like to think we would have at least made enquiries even if the position he wants made it a clear no
Ok Joker.....you win (?). Cant argue with that logic. You've watched a whole game in which his team got pumped 30-4 and clearly the evidence is in and Haywood is crap and by extension TDS can now pack his blue jersey.45 mins in now just watched his lazy marker defence allow the Eels to make a break almost score tiger player sent to bin.
You got me good..

You really know your Rugba leeg
He's a first grader, just like the Penrith Tago.500k for a nsw cupmplayer is overs
It’s a fair point about the panthers and the game in general. Better to watch than storm ball/wrestlemania from a few years ago, even if the pendulum has swung a bit too much the other way.Do you still find Penriths style boring to watch?
Hey he’s never been banned, clearly this is the perfect human ur scolding….shame on u…..This is your problem. You dont understand footy. You've also told us Edwards,Cleary,Martin,Yeo are all just good players that look better collectively in a team. And Leota is just a plodder.
No. They are top shelf elite players.
I told you last year C.Mclean will be the best centre in the game in 12mths. You watch B.Phillips develop while you pull your pud over the Hitman Guymer and AMS for that try he scored in that trial 2yrs ao.
Not according to some, he has 11 siblings to feed, therefore he will go to the highest bidder….apparentlyLike Flies to shit Pou was all over it, and let face it the Guymer signing is shit.
The only player we should of been looking at extending atm was Big Sam.
MON and co are absolute failures at every level.
Guymer will be a below average first grader. He will play more games than he should because he is at a club that can’t attract or keep good first graders.

It’s not a shit signing, just underwhelming, he wouldn’t make most other teams, we should have just kept AlvaroHow is the guymer signing shit? Hes a 21 year old whos still developing. Had some okay flashes to end last season. We probably didnt pay all that much either. Its not like we gave him a 6 year 800k deal. 2 years to see if he can crack our regular rotation if he does then we got a steal if not hes not a shit option for depth. His running game needs work but hes decent defender. Honestly a player who would look great in the riff system.
Do you really think that's all the Dogs offered? Why would players have gone there if not for massive overs? The Dogs hadn't played finals for nearly a decade when they signed Kikau and Crichton.Do you honestly beleive it but? They let Crighton /Kikau walk cause Dogs offered 800k and also offered Luai similar coin but paper says happy to sign a rookie for 750k?
So Tago was good enough to win three grand finals but now he's suddenly a reserve grader? The reason they have dropped him is that he is on massive overs and they want him off the books. Think about it for a minute.Think about it for a minute.
I believe we signed him for $500k. He was worth more than that last year, plus we got a CO out of him. Genuine first graders aren't cheap.More than I believe we signed De Belin for $500k
They aren't mutually exclusive. In fact the only reason he is overpaid is that they don't need him in first grade. Is Tago overpaid though or is someone just playing better than him at the moment..
Their defence was a lot better with him in the team. I'm sure they wanted him to stay. Their coach has a history of preferring senior players. We paid 500k for a 34 year old his current club didn't want.

That was at the start of the 2023 season and he looked like he was going to become the best centre in the game. He's actually declined since then, similar to Will Penisini.Yeah he isn't on 750k
Mainstream media reports were we signed him for $350k. The same media that reported Tago signed a contract with Panthers for an average of $750k per year.I believe we signed him for $500k. He was worth more than that last year, plus we got a CO out of him. Genuine first graders aren't cheap.
Players aren't held back for their development, they're held back because they're not up to first grade standard. All the best players debuted very young. Plus Jake Arthur's.He is better than TDS at the same age. He is being held back intentionally. Thats teh whole point. Tigers screwed TDS development but it was out of necessity at the time. Its a different club/squad/team today.
Signing Guymer isn’t the issue given you need players of his status. What is needed is signing players that improve the club overall and give us the opportunity to challenge, players like Manu, Perdue etc , it’s a dream but needed. It’s not a shit signing, just underwhelming, he wouldn’t make most other teams, we should have just kept Alvaro
The RLPA announced these contracts were to be reported at their length without the PO, since there was no guarantee (or even expectation) that the player would activate the PO. And with the media reporting them as 'get out clauses' rather than options to extend, which is what they are, it puts the players at risk from fan outrage. Therefore it's been deemed a breach of privacy.Three of Perth’s high profile signings have early get out clauses as the Bears are expected to announce the impending arrival of Mavrik Geyer.
It is understood that three of Perth’s players – Tyran Wishart, Liam Henry and Josh Curran – have early exits in the deals which have been trumpeted by the NRL’s 18th team in recent months.
The deals include;
- Wishart was announced as a five-year contract in January. The Storm utility – who has been earmarked to start at hooker for the Bears – has a player option for the final year of his contract in 2031.
- Henry signed in December on a bumper four-year deal to help lead Perth’s forward pack. However the Penrith premiership winner has guaranteed just two years with the new franchise with seasons 2029 and 2030 an option in his favour. Henry’s Penrith teammate Scott Sorensen also signed with the club for the next two years but the veteran does not have an early exit option.

The Bears’ big signings are already insuring themselves.
- Curran signed a three-year contract with the Bears in January. The Bulldogs’ forward has an option in his favour to play out the final year of his contract in Perth in 2029.
A host of other clubs are sweating on clauses for next year including Wests Tigers duo Jarome Luai Jahream Bula while St George Illawarra’s Jaydn Su’A has an option in his favour for 2027.
The revelations of the clauses’ comes as Perth have secured another forward in Geyer. It is understood Geyer has agreed to a three-year contract to be part of Perth’s inaugural squad. Geyer, who is yet to play a first grade game for his new side the Tigers, is following in the footsteps of his dad Mark.
Not only did Mark make his NRL debut at Penrith before joining Balmain for one season but he was part of the Western Reds’ first team in 1995.
They are also in talks with South Sydney halfback Jamie Humphreys.
