Not that Halangahu looked any better against the Cowboays but my gut feeling is that Sua will want 3 years and at decent $ given his higher offers no doubt from Perth etc

I would rather keep Luc, Egan, Halangahu, RCouchman etc and redirect some of the money to FB and Half and wing

If we are getting rid of Su'a and Cook i'd hope it's because we are making way for some immortal. They've been pretty much our two most consistent half-decent performers in this putrid excuse of a rugby league season so far.

So interesting to me that we've been spruiking ourselves as a club on the up for a few years now and only lured one and half decent catches, but the second our season effectively ends 5 weeks in suddenly Drinkwater and Fuller are coming. Like, what?

I'm not believing any of this dribble but I do expect Flanagan to be sacked or put on the plank, and the club get on the front foot and tell the fans as much as soon as tomorrow.

I'm in WA and most of the Dragons fans here are tying their allegiance to the Bears now. Shame on them but a much bigger shame on our decrepit and utterly lacklustre club.

I don't blame them. With us about to hit 8 years of not playing finals at the end of a 13-14 year period of disgraceful and inept club management I'm truly questioning why I bother with this club. The Titans game left me completely numb. Didn't bother watching the Cowboys game. I knew what was coming.
If the club treats its fans with utter contempt then why should the fans bother? Honestly I've got better things to do with my weekends and my money as I get older than watching what they've started to dish up.

Big couple of weeks coming up which will have significant impacts to the Dragons future. If Saints don't win you would expect big changes, if they snag a win it could be a long season where the fans are told of re-building, go into and offseason with all these promises of a better season ala last 2 years and back to where we are now in 12 months.

If Saints don't give Young the job which I bet they do with all this crap media spruiking him up as a great NRL coach in the making including Wayne Bennet, but if the don't give Young the job, I feeel that will pi$$ off both Youngs and father and son will go. 2 Father and son combo's killing Saints at the moment and there is a chance both may go but do Saints have the balls? Wait and see.

Purdue yesterday was a good example of where Saints (Flanno expecially) is at, that is young kid with hardly any size on him making breaks against guys twice his size doing nothing. Teams are giving youngsters a bigger crack whist Saints picking big slow players to bash and barge and fill up their Stats. The game has changed significantly and the smaller, quicker players are able to influence the game more than the bigger battering ram type players.

Bring in Fuller, Xerri and play Reed and the Saints will look so much better in the backline. Both these 2 I think will get early releases. Move our best half to his best position in Atko to 6 and play Flanno or Reed at 7 may also change things. Playing Atko at 7 is plain stupidity. As for the forwards, say bye to Guller, Kerr and Lawrie and play youngsters. It seriously cannot get any worse. Liddle to get more game time.

Saints not taliking to Sandon Smith or Tannah Boyd was just dumb and letting go of Ashton Ward is just dumb recrutement / retention. One of these blokes with Atko would have been ideal. Insead the Knights, Souths and Warriors have these guys as back ups 7's. 2 of which are killing it whilst the other is injured.

I understand it too.
Our 'support', whether it have been financially or just turning up or cheering on the team has gone unappreciated for too long. The fans are taken for granted and sheerly ignored or treated with condescension.

I wish the Bears well but I could never just give up the thing that I swore my loyalty long ago, even when in a sense couldn't give two hoots about me.

Compare there squad to ours and you see a HUGE difference in talent and they’re struggling.

strange & sanders (supposedly excellent talent) VS lykan. Kyle. Atkinson

We might look better we definitely wouldn’t perform any better.

No matter who comes to our club they are forced to play Flanno ball in attack and play Deano ball in defence.

No matter the halves it’s 5 hit ups and a useless kick and make sure we give it to Cake once if not twice every time we are in their 20.

In defence it’s sit back and wait for them to come to us and when they get close to an overlap the winger must rush in.

Doesn't matter who wears the jersey the tactics remain the same.

Evidently Flanno and his predecessors thinks that type of stability is what we need regardless of who is in the roster.

I'm not convinced JD is the answer.

I'd prefer to give Willie Talau the keys for the rest of the year to blood his juniors then look for someone better in the meantime if needed, preferably a modern coach.

I’m with you Dragsters. Talau has done a good job with the ressies and proving his value, especially in a caretaker mode. Is a better choice than Young.
