I don’t give a shit how many players we lose, the good clubs have depth, we don’t….so who’s fault is that???
Exactly, thats why we shouldn't have even been close today, yet we were so cant be mad at that 🤷‍♂️ It shouldn't have been as close as it was.

So we are on par with Tigers, Dragons and Manly is what we are saying?
Tigers are a team in the rise. Dragons are plod but have signed a stack of gun juniors. Atleast they are trying something. We have let old great players go due to age and replaced them with old average players. Thats just like digging a deeper hole then your already in.

Club needs a reset. Lets chase some young talented kids. Pay them overs. Whilst they may not all make it atleast it's a chance of improvement if you hit. And if your lucky you have more hits then busts. Much better then getting guys like Kelly or De bellin. They are just plugging holes till they retire. No fire in the belly.

We've had an issue in the backs for over 5yrs and it's yet to be addressed. Surely questions have to be asked.

From press conference...

Ryles said:

we used:
3 5/8
3-4 centre combos
4 edge forward combos
3 right wingers

Didn't blame ref and said if we had got back part of first half right, we win.

Show that performance each week, we win more than we lose.

Russell is fine.

Said one area of Api's game is good, but other area not so great and are working on it. What he did tonight was not unexpected but still has a lot of work to do.

Pezet has hamstring injury, probably low grade and scans required. Ryles said he probably more chance of playing then Pezet next week.

Penisini not due back next week!

Moses suggested, Simonsson gone for the year. And his groin is ok.

Yeah I am not annoyed that we lost I am annoyed the walker ref again needed to ruin an entertaining finish.

He had another 10 chances to blow a penalty during the second half but just needed to do it at the time to ruin it..

Ryles will go on to greatness, but not at the Eels.
I really doubt that...I dont think Ryles is all that...
What this club needed was a successful club coach who knows what he needs to do to get the team humming.
Last 2 coaches have been rookies and learning on the run, not runs on the board.
Let's be honest this season is cactus.
We have other coaches like attack and defense coach which wouldn't get a start at any othe clubs.
Sam Moa, Scott Wiesmantel, Nathan Brown..what has actually improved since BA was punted.
We still have massive losses and lapses, we cant produce any decent juniors, we can't recruit any quality.
We overpay some/most of the current players. Moses for
$1.3m or whatever hes on doesnt deliver.
We are not seeing any tangible improvements to give us hope the club is moving in the right direction.
Our juniors are talked up massively but very few go on to deliver on the big stage.
I seriously think we are cursed and the wrong people have been in the inner sanctum too long overseeing the sorry results this club has dished up for far too long.
I give Ryles til the end of next yr...
Today was another major dissapointment.
The ref had too much influence over the result but we aren't resilient enough as a club. Its seems to be missing from our DNA...

Thats the NRL and how these games are officiated. Having watched the replay on the last penalty before GP, he hesitated and thought here is my chance the do something, a tackle that was no where near high.

I dont blame the ref the last penalty but the high tackle one really stinks

And I call BS on this "duty of care", what absolute rubbish. Duty of care didnt help the fact that Tuilagi came off for a HIA when he was hit in the head, and we've seen it a few times this year where high tackles gets missed yet the bunker calls the player for a HIA. What a joke!!
